dota 2  |  jungle  |  neutrals  |  stacking  |  smoke of deceit  |  farming
Hi all,

Just a quick thought on stacking neutrals + smoke of deceit farming style.
Na'vi pulled it off recently with Pugna using he 1st skill (whatever it's called) and a Bottle, while stacking the hard camp 3/4 times. He hit 6 before anyone else on the map - and as a result killed Anti-Mage very early, and unexpectedly!

So who else could pull this off? I'm talking about heroes you wouldn't normally see jungle, but it turns out can, if you know what you're doing. This is NOT a noob post, so you kinda need to know dota already.. :)

I know the smoke deceit has changed, but with skill cooldowns for these heroes, waiting for the neuts to go back to the camp won't be difficult.

my thoughts -
Undying - think about it.. :D any camp will do, I guess early you could stack the small camp, and take it out to level 2 - while on cd, stack the large camp, and get back to lane at the same time (or pull the lane creeps)
in theory - you could stack both mid camps on the radiant side, using a qu…

Dota 2  |  international  |  competitive  |  CM  |  captain's mode  |  heroes
Hi All,

I've had a few thoughts about the International - and some of the common issues was the 'repetitive use of heroes' at least 3, maybe 4 - sometimes 5 heroes, were re-used in the same lineup against the same team, throughout the tournement.
I'm not complaining AT ALL - I love a good competitive game, that's the beauty of Dota - same team, same heroes, different game every time..

However, some heroes saw 1 use, or 0 uses throughout the whole tournement. surprisingly Ogre Magi being one of them. Here are a list of heroes, that saw less than 3 games in the whole of the international - apart from the obvious, any thoughts as to why!?!?!

Ogre Magi - 0 games! wow.. becuase he's melee support perhaps?
Sven - 0 games, same issue, and he has a terrible win rate in the competitive scene.
Alchemist - 1 game, and lost - obv, he's ****
Axe - 1 game, 1 ban - surprisingly little use for Axe - I was expecting more - not sure why?
Bane - Shadow Demon Disruptor are better supports to do…

dota 2  |  push  |  fast racks  |  rax  |
Hi all,

Played a hilarious game of dota2 last night, that is worth watching. This is pub stomping at it's finest.
We pushed the first racks and all 2nd towers in 14 minutes - then went on to win by 19:30. ROFL

It's a fun prob 25 min watch (as there was a couple of pauses) - worth watching if you would like to see a solid push combo.

We were 4 friends playing, the 5th is the QOP who we didn't know, if you are 5, an alternate to Qop would be Leshrac, who can still play mid, to get some levels the push with edict.

I play dark seer in this lineup, prob my best hero, and generally dictated what we were doing using skype (so not too much in game..)

well worth a watch, I did feel sorry for the enemy team :S

dota 2  |  dota 1  |  meta  |  6.75  |  updated heroes
Hi All,

As I'm sure most of you know, there has been a major update on the original dota1. Changes which WILL be implemented (once Dota1 is balanced and stable) into Dota2.

http://www.playdota.com/changelogs/6.75

We may find more changes in Dota1, before it joins us in Dota 2, but clearly some of the changes have been made for dota2 client - with some heroes getting heavily buffed for the faster pace of dota 2 compared to dota 1.

Let's have a look at some of the major changes we may find in the dota2 client, and it's major impact on the current meta. Your thoughts?

Some of the interesting changes are the debuffs -
anti mage, now has a slightly longer cast time to blink, with compared to other blinkers was very quick! he also has a reduced MS

Dark Seer as expected was heavily debuffed - particularly vacuum - longer cd, smaller AOE, and unfortuantely the naga sleep, vacuum combo will not work anymore! :D

pandaren - his ulti will now be affected by blackhole - a natural addition, …

Dota 2, current Meta?

Dota 2  |  6.76  |  meta  |
Hi all,

With all the recent changes and buffs Icefrog and Valve have put on some of the 'lesser picked' heroes and debuffs to the usual suspects -

my simple question - have they actually changed the Meta game for Dota 2? I know it has only been a short time since the updates - but really is a push strat any different with these changes?

I can't see the push strat still not being effective - but with the boost in ganking heroes it may be difficult to judge who to ban/pick. in future tourney's..

thoughts?
