I think Windranger is OP because she is OP. What I described is just a consequence of that.

If the worst thing you have to complain about is people going offlane with a mid build then you should consider yourself lucky. Keepo.

I probably shouldn't complain because they are always in the enemy team somehow. I just find it funny how a completely trash player can stay at like +1k of his real MMR just by spamming OP meta heroes.

Maybe that says something by itself about the mmr system and why you shouldn't trust it when looking for qualities in players...

But regarding Wind don't worry, they're probably gonna do something about her soon, and most people that follow the referred to metas will stop playing her.

What does it even have to do with the RMM system? It's about hero balance, not the systeam. The MMR gain/loss system is fine and every suggestion I've seen so far would in reality only make it worse. Factoring other stats? Abusable as hell. Give bonuses for streak? A booster's paradise which leads to even more bought accs and acc buyers abusing high winrate heroes to stay on that rating, plus it makes your rating even more RNG dependent. They should focus on filtering the game quality itself. It's not that hard- forbid randoming in Ranked, detect and punish cour/hero feeding, don't queue ppl with players they just reported, etc.

And if it's not Wind or Doom, other heroes will come. Knowing how Iceforg has no breaks and applies no though to his buffs/nerfs, we will see abusable heroes for a loooong time.

Yea I wasn't complaining about the MMR system, with which I couldn't care less. And the hero balance the same thing, as you said, there are always unbalanced heroes, we've talked about this on the other thread.

I just thought funny myself how you said "trash player that stay at like +1k of their real MMR", when in reality the real MMR is exactly what they have, because that's how the MMR system works (unless they bought the account of course). Maybe if you want to speak about real competence in the game the best way to say it is not talking about MMR or comparing "actual MMR to the supposed real one", since they're really not synonims (and the more I play, the more I think this).

This would also be a good way of reminding us not to enter discussions like the one we had in the Alch thread with so baleful consequences, or to help the younger people that come to dota fire blaming everyone else for their losses and MMR realize they have other things to concentrate about.
