****. This. Hero. He appears in almost every game i play, on the enemy team no less, and you cant stop him. You can buy tp sure, but they;re on cooldown sometimes and then what? You just have to stand still, be ****ing silenced for 6 SECONDS, and be twoshot by this bs (funny jokes) hero.
Let me gain casual 100 damage from my passive for no reason, then amplify that for 40% whilst you're silenced and immobile xddd.
Yeah, tp still WORKS, but all he needs is a basher, or for them to be on cooldown when you tp to lane or something. I hate this hero so much right now. Absolute cancer. He can get shadow blade first item with nothing else, and he still threeshots you.
Basically, Bloodseeker is not the powerhouse he seems to be, if he isn't allowed to farm and snow ball properly.
"Don't feed him. It's that simple, and it's really easy to do. This hero absolutely needs kills because it's his only way to farm, but he shouldn't be able to get them because you can escape him easily when he comes to gank you. Always carry a Town Portal Scroll. When he comes to gank you, just TP away.
Gank the mid lane.. He's a melee hero, he has to always be next to the creeps because of blood bath, so basically...he's always sitting in the middle of the river, and he has no escape mechanism. Free gank anyone?
Get Observer Wards. When you have wards, you can't get ganked, ever. No, seriously, when is the last time you saw a Bloodseeker dewarding or using Smoke of Deceit?
5-man Dota. Bloodseeker is useless in teamfights.
Tank up. Bloodseeker is essentially a nuker, at least the way he is built currently."
I would add gank him, because he's really susceptible to ganks (squishy and no magic resistence, besides his escape mechanism relies on someone of your team being severelly wounded, which will not happen if you're the ones ganking him). Another tip: everybody should have at all times, besides the TP, a way of quicly regenerating life so as to avoid the Thirst effect (think Magic Wand, an Urn of Shadows or a Mekansm on the team, or even a Healing Salve!).
If you get ruptured near your tower(where most ruptures early game will be), have your team tp in immediately to help. Bs is superb at early to midgame 1v1 ganks, but once there is a support, bs suddenly has a much harder time killing his target.
He can be played against, sure. He isn't unbeatable. But, at the same time, he is ******ed and legitimately overpowered. There isn't really any debate that he is a bit too strong. Much-needed Thirst nerfs are coming, and probably soon, now that the international is done. Icefrog said there would be an update after the international when 6.84 came out.
Oh, and Bloodrage + Yasha means he farms REALLY FAST. You can't really shut him down by not feeding. Especially when the most common build is Hand of Midas.
Bloodseeker is not overpowered. If you don't know how to counter him however, of course he will seem overpowered just like about every other hero.
To counter him you need to adapt either at the hero picks or at the itemisation/playstyle.
If the Bloodseeker is safelane build blademail on a tank and watch him cry like a baby. If he's mid just get him ganked 3-4 times and he won't be able to do ****.
Bloodseeker is extremely weak if he's behind on farm, because he has no good catch-up mechanism. Heroes that can bully him out of lane like dark seer and necrophos completely wreck his day.
He is stupidly broken. But not all hope is lost. In the early-mid game he is unbearable, but come late game he isnt great versus 1v1 carries.
So yeah, late game hard carries SHOULD be able to deal with him, he'll be a cleanup hero by then.
But the early game of this arse is a monstrosity. Getting Thirst buffs aren't very hard, and Bloodrage is very good in laning. Just feel yourself getting demoralized after 2 Dragon Slave is wasted with 4 Bloodrage CS :). Best bet is to burst him (which ironic to my earlier comment, something Lina can do 4Head), he will outrun you fairly easily if it took you too long. A mix of CC + Burst damage is needed against this abomination. But despite the counters, he is still more broken than a young lover's heart.
TP's are not as good as solution against BS as they used to be, because the way his passive works now means it is entirely possible for him to just have enough damage to kill you randomly if there was a skirmish at the other side of the map.
The idea of not giving him kills is the same as ever, because it means he gets like his Blademail BKB, or SnY BKB more slowly, but it's hard to ensure in pubs. Likewise in pubs it's hard to communicate to people that you should be carrying extra regen around, and not sitting at like 60% in lane. Because that's the best thing you can do, try your hardest to not drop low so he doesn't get absurd boosts from his passive early on, and thus get a tonne of kills off of it.
Like, if you are 1v1 in lane with him, and he goes on you, either your support immediately TP's in, and then you are only probably dead, or your support TP's in pretty much 2-3s later and you are definately dead. As is the support probably.
Oh and Blademail rarely works against him unless the guy is a moron. Like, he won't rupture the guy with the Blademail, and he won't go on the guy with one, he'll run past and kill your supports in 2-3 hits each. And then go on you guys with a numbers advantage. He's hard to zone out of lane as well, because he's got great sustain with Bloodrage.
He's just... more difficult to deal with than he should be right now, and that's mostly due to Thirst needing some kind of change. Burst heroes work since Bloodrage makes him squishy, but he naturally builds into a really early BKB. He can't 1v1 carries mid-late game on equal farm, but in a pub he's probably going to be an item or two ahead through kills and kills alone.
I'd say he's slightly overpowered right now. His movement speed is ******** and he suffers far less from his late game than before since games are now decided earlier.

Personally i'd go sd. bkb piercing slow + no more ******** passive (all that with 3 charges) and ez counter initiates. Sd is the only hero who can reduce his MS to nothing.

Stuns make his MS nothing too!
But I agree, he goes slightly too fast, but is countered by Break.
So pick someone that buys Silver Edge.
LC a good counter anyone? Heal to keep thirst low, a natural Silver Edge carrier, 5 second disable...
