Sand King core...

Ok, I know I don't follow the meta that much, but when did Sand King get good enough to be considered core. Last three games had a SK on my team who demanded that they get the last hits. Three different people going sny drums builds instead of blink.

Was there a buff to him that I'm not aware of?

Nope. It just sounds like Pubs being pubs, and not building anything sensible on a hero.

Sand king core makes no sense because all he needs is blink and he can farm it before 9 minutes in the jungle as a support anyways.

People who want to take last hits from the lane on SK are terrible players.
People who go drums SnY instead of blink on SK are either trolls or complete noobs.

Sounds like a bad idea to me... Blink, Veil, Shiva's, Aghs (luxury). That's what you want.

Its all centered around his ulti.
I d say anyone else can have a shivas, anyone else can throw the weakening blast, aghs just makes his ulti stronger and powerful but its better to get veil as it compounds all other magic damage your team has.

What is there for SK to build aside from blink and veil? 0. Zit. Zilch.Nada.
He is a greedy no.5 support. No core SK from me. If you are in pubs, last hit away my friend. Then you can ask the enemy if they can handle your sandstorm, once they ask for song name.

Utility stuff, like Scythe of Vyse, Vladmir's Offering, Heaven's Halberd. yknow. And Shiva's Guard is stupid good on him cause it prevents really fast people escaping Epicenter just by runing.

If yoi can ever get money after ward whoring, go ahead. They are not essential pickups. He still does his job without these and there can always be someone else who carries scythe better. Vlads and halberd are rather situational, however i must agree with shivas guard.

The item choices you suggested are laudable but he is complete after blink and veil.your items add frill to his gameplay but he was already complete with just blink and veil. He is that independant afterwards, so much so that you can support consumables yourself.

Caustic Finale + Burrowstrike = creep wave ded. Rinse and repeat.

So you want him to go core?
Are you implying that he should farm waves push lanes? All that which is counter productive in a game unless your carry has items?

I won't be the one that pushes lane as and king. I would rather stand backup for a farm dependant hero. Unless it is late game, and i have some freedom to farm, i won't be buying that shivas guard. If you do, you are one horrible kill stealer
