So after a couple hours tonight I've come to the conclusion that I am really, really sick of seeing Techies. Every single AP game I played had one in there, and they all sucked.

The last game, though, made it worth it.

http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/876052716 is the offending game.

Most of my team got together and decided that when we saw the Techies pick we were going to punish him. So, on came the Legion picks, the Void picks, and the Pudge picks. Sadly, we failed in our attempt to make him go 4/20, but I think he was sufficiently battered enough. By the end of it the game degenerated into random trash talking and the Radiant going for killsteals from each other. You get to see me fail a fountain chrono at the end :)

I should probably feel bad about the constant 4-man ganks and 1-man chronos on the Techies, but I don't. As such, I have decided, that this will be a good weekend despite a plague of what is essentially a fast-spreading disease. I don't know about you, but I'll be playing a lot more Furion and a lot more Void.

Share your stories - the worse you punished Techies, the better!

Guys if you don't want techies in your game try doing this.

As soon as you get to pick heroes, insta pick techies. Then you just wait till the timer has almoust reached 0.00 and then repick. Yeah you lose some money but that money would propably be wasted to get sentry wards otherwise.

I went Profit and Invoker respectively the games before to counter Techies. None of us play Zeus, unless of course someone on our team randoms Bloodseeker, in which case we pick Spectre and Natures as well :)

And I actually enjoy seeing Techies on the other team. It's never felt so good to punish a Hero, not even a Phoenix.

It seems extremly dumb for you people to counter pick what is considered the weakest hero in the game (yet someone who knows what's up will wreck you anyway, necrobook or not - he's like the new Earth Spirit and Io). All you need is pick a hero and get a gem, then de-bomb the field.

Y U no fun? )}B

It can be an issue though if you're playing with people who are less careful, i.e. charge the high ground without waiting for the Creep Wave to give you Vision first.

You don't Counter-Pick Techies, you Counter-Pick your own Team's stupidity! X{D

Its a little odd to me.

I was playing a lobby bot match the other day with Techies

Then I go AP ranked, expecting an insta techies. I was wrong.

Then I pick Techies and went 10/9/8, with the 2nd most kill in the game.
Feels good.
