Ever since the changes to Ursa, I've been wondering what items to get when playing him. Aside from the obvious Blink Dagger and bkb, I've been thinking about Scythe of Vyse, Eye of Skadi, Armlet of Mordiggian and even Mask of Madness. Before I go out and try any of these myself, I'd like to ask the dotafire community about the viability of the aforementioned items on Ursa and suggest any items and/or item progressions that you've found to be good on our little fuzzy-wuzzy.
I don't play Ursa, but my close friend does. Basically, the build is similar enough to the old one, Vlads, Blink, BKB, since he still has the kiting problems, even with the dispel.
Abyssal Blade is probably the safest item after that, since it lets you get immediate pickoff, and then end the game asap once you have abyssal, because enemies are just gonna be getting more and more kiting items and his bkb charges are gonna run out and he's gonna be useless pretty much no matter what he buys, unless he has abyssal and sheepstick, in which case, he is pretty good anti-carry.
Since, Vlad's is bad on the hero compared to Satanic, due to it's scaling being out-right worse, and HotD being a better fighting item.
After that... You probably need BKB in most situations. If not or after that, it's basically a trade-off between Abyssal Blade or Eye of Skadi, both help you deal with kiting issues, it's just one lets you survive in fights for longer (Which is an important thing), and the other means you have more direct impact in fights outside of bursting someone down instantly (It also makes that more likely).
I guess your 6 slot is some variation of the following; Blink Dagger, Satanic, Eye of Skadi, Abyssal Blade, MKB, BKB, BoT's. With Situational Butterfly and Diffusal Blade. I don't think you'll nessicarly have room for Sheep stick in a lot of games, and frankly given the choice between Abyssal or Sheep on a Melee hero, I'd want Abyssal.
I did have a good think about the lifesteal options on him, but still tend to pick up Vlads...why? Cos the trickle of mana is really useful - you don't need a lot with him, but you do need some.
I tend to try and rush RoB, then Phase, finish Vlads, Blink into Skull Basher. BKB is situational as his ult is quite different now. I'm certainly not against the Satanic (it's great on him) but I don't think HoTD stacks really do all that much for you.
