It does? I did not know that. Its just an op skill then. I guess the op nature of it is reduced by the short range.
I guess I like that naga because at that time she resembled more of a carry than a rat.

Thanks, Sinured.

I agree with her flexibility aspect which everybody mentioned. I've been noticing lately some trends in heroes picked in higher levels, and I think subtle things like BKB piercing abilities are appreciated (I always thought that what made Jugg OP, more even that MoM, was his ability to interrupt channeling with his ulti, which didn't make sense), as well as that flexibility to bring some level of surprise factor into the table.

And her ultimate, yeah, ***as. You don't see her in pubs simply because there is no coordenation there, because if there is, even the slighest of it, you can have awesome teamfights with her. All in all, she is such a complete hero, with her lockdowns and her ability for farm quickly and efficiently.

That's pretty much it. She can play any role from 1 to 4 (5 is not possible I think).

I agree, 5 is too much.

Very strong - she can be almost unplayable against late game due to the illusion/ Radiance split push - she's not the rat queen for nothing.

Support wise, despite being an agility hero, she has pretty good starting str/int and the growth is reasonable. Good, BKB piercing 5 second "disable", illusions for scouting. Nuke isn't that powerful but has armour reduction and doesn't require a lot of levels or mana. Ult is fantastic, even better with an Aghanim's Scepter (I suspect this is going to look kinda broken at some stage).

Biggest problem is that in pubs people don't tend to co-ordinate or communciate well enough - so SOTS can actually backfire quite badly.

Funnily enough there has not been a single Ag scepter built on Naga Siren in 6.84 pro DOTA. That's out of 59 games thus far. And I figure hey, lets look at some stats for once.

A breakdown in terms of which teams are using the hero, of the say Top 7 teams in the world (Debatable I know, but lets look at it);

Team Secret; 5 games, all Kuroky, 4-1 Record thus far if I read it right
EG; 6 games all Aui_2000, 5-1 record
Cloud9; 4 games, 2 EE, 1 NoTail, 1 Simbaaa, 2-0 in a core role, 0-2 in a support role.
iG; 2 games, both on Burning, 1-1 record
VG no games played
Empire; 4 games, all Alohadance 2-2 record
VP; 8 games, but I can't do a better breakdown.

So of the the Naga recorded here, 29 of them have been played by the Top Teams, with support Naga having a 11-6 record among them, and core Naga a 3-1 record.

(All the stats from DatDOTA btw, so if I've read them wrong do let me know)

So yeah, she's getting there as a support among the best teams this patch. Take what you will from the stats.

EDIT; Made a change due to a mishap being pointed out to me. I get the feeling I'm still doing DatDota wrong, but I'll learn eventually ^_^

Her stat gain is exceptional in every way. Combined, it adds up to a total of 7 stats gained per level. That's rather a lot, and the gain is very well split across all the stats.
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.

Jakiro weighs in at 2.3/2.8, Warlock at 2.5/2.7, Vengeful Spirit at 2.6/1.75, so it's not exceptional (agility isn't that useful on a support hero unless they transistion). But it's pretty strong, especially considering how low her spell costs are.

...

I saw somewhere that someone said VP didn't play Naga.

They've play Naga in 5 out of 7 last games, 3 times on Illidan and twice on Lil.

My apologies;

I'd forgotten that the current VP are infact the rebrand of VP Polar, so are VP 2, not VP on DatDota's thing;

So yeah 8 games; And they are 4-4. I can't for some reason get the break down into individual games this time, so can't draw a conclusion on role success but yeah.

Aplogies for my miscomings, I'll double check everything I said above to ensure it's more accurate ^_^
