Actually, 1 vs 1 dotofire mid inhouse sounds good as a general idea, but it's hard to implement this well, because:
- A tournament requires all members to be present at the same time. I think that most participants will say as a courtesy even if they don't wanna play cuz it's dotofire, but technical problems can be an issue, and a huge one
- Other players will have to wait for a lot of time UNLESS participants will organize themselves and create 5 separate lobbies to play simultaneously.
The best format could come to was a Single Draft game where players are not allowed to take 0:00 runes and kill lane creeps from top/bot lanes. Game goes until first blood, T1 toer destruction, or it ends manually after X minutes and the player with better CS wins. Game goes in 5 separate lobbies and every new game one of the players switches to next lobby. The player with most wins, well, wins.
That way it's unofficial(wtf did that guy just get Bane for a 3rd time?!?!?!) so a player loss is not critical if we can find a stand-in. It also doesn't come to spamming just a few heroes to my great displeasure and makes you think outta the box(for example if you draft Juggernaut, Beastmaster and Chen). You can also blame bad draft if you lost, that's a huge advantage, and I'm not even kidding there. We also don't make players wait for more than 20 minutes.
I would hold one myself but I am not sure it will meet enough support(at least 6 playes to get started).
