In the list of best aghs I think people forgot Razor. Also Enigma in TI4 have been getting aghs in late phases because the damage is insane, it's much more effective when the health pools jump up.
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

The've been running Aghs/Refresher Voids at TI4. Basically two very long chronospheres to do tons of damage.

And it hasn't worked :)

I'm sick of this stupid offlane Void. I haven't seen it work yet. He has no control of the lane and he needs farm to do anything. He's much better as a safelane carry or even in an aggro trilane, and unlike most hard carries he has some snowball potential. He *sounds* good as a utility Hero but he needs too much farm to do that effectively - his toolkit is perfect for a carry, so he should be played as a carry.

It's pretty good, but getting things like Mekansm and Black King Bar come before it, and by that point, since Razor doesn't do very well in the Late-Game, you have to be asking yourself if you shouldn't be focusing on Utility Items instead.

Agreed, I don't know why people hate this. 28% of your opponents Max HP == 21% after standard Magic Damage Resistance. In any higher skill matchups, the Cores are always going to make sure they're Tanky enough to survive the Teamfight, so any %based Damage makes a huge difference.

Hmm? I think it has worked just fine. Combine it with something like Voker or Tinker or Skywrath and you have more than enough damage in your team. And of what I've seen, the teams with offlane Void have eventually moved him up in the farming priority as the game goes on. Void actually has quite good abilities for being placed in the offlane, a pseudo-blink and chance to avoid damage.

that you havent watched enough void games.
yes he is a bit overpicked becouse he is a new discovery but he has worked pretty well in games where it suited him. what ive hardly seen working is a 1 position void, he just doesnt powerfarm like other carries, and relies completely on his chrono to carry.

but the worst overpicked hero is Razor, he is getting firstpick wich doesnt make ANY sense, he does pretty much the same as viper but that hero is getting picked in games where it actually made sense.
and it shows because he has a trash 38% winrate at TI4.

For Faceless Void...indeed Aghs sucks if you're playing carry Void and only makes sense if you're playing utility/offlane Void to use chrono to set up Jakiro/Invoker/Witch/Skywrath/etc. Still not 100% convinced about utility Void because he's essentially a walking chrono - the thing about carry Void is that he's very momentum/snowball dependent ; since he's not that good at farming he needs a good start and early chrono kills. and #3 Void going for Aghs has this momentum definitively screwed. Other "carry-supports" like Silencer, Venge, Alch, Naga, Necro etc can start off as #4 and basically play as #2 if they have a good lane and early ganks but Void can't really come back from his bad start because he's probably the worst comeback carry in the game.
I'd play solo mid Void any day, but I'd much rather play Magnus or Enigma than Void offlane.

aghanim's secpter on Gyrocopter is pretty misunderstood : the whole point of the upgrade isn't to join teamfights from afar (that's what TP scrolls are for o_o), the whole point is being able to split farm and clear creep waves almost instantly from a distance, in other words, to split push and counter rat dota. Agha Gyro is one of the best counters to Furion in the game.

My favorite Aghs upgrade is Meepo...the only hero in DotA who has Aghs as an absolute core item, and whose Aghs timing is as important as the Bfury timing on Antimage :)

Aghs on outworld devourer is arguably the worst upgrade in the game because any INT item gives more damage to his ult. Although Luna and Puck are really close on the useless Aghs list.

Aghs on Bane is one of the most overrated upgrades IMO, He's one of my most successful/most played heroes and I've never felt the need for a 7-second ult simply because I never saw anybody escape a fully channeled 5-second ult. Bane's job is disabling and setting up kills with his team and not getting solo kills. I'd only get Aghs if playing against massive split push to solo kill Tinker or Furion with blink dagger.

Necrophos : one of my favorite upgrades because not only is the upgrade ridiculously strong and gamechanging (30% respawn time + no buyback = more than 2 minutes where the hero is removed from the game completely = GG), but also the stats from Aghs are exactly what Necro needs : more HP pool and more mana pool.

Juggernaut : anything that decreases the cooldown of a teamfight-winning ultimate from 2 minutes to 1 minute cannot decently be called bad.

Razor : The upgrade is actually pretty good but it's a bit overrated and completely misused. Mek/Aghs Razor is really good if you want to push with your team and end the game before 35 minutes, it's really effective but it's kind of a gamble - the toll is that if the game goes late your hero's carry potential is reduced to zero. If you are safe lane carry Razor or if you play Razor mid because you want late game out of him then you need standard DPS items like Deso/Manta/Bfly/Skadi and a BKB : should avoid Aghs at all costs and leave Mek to your Dazzle or Jakiro. I really dislike this upgrade because it made many people think that Razor has no late game - which is completely untrue and only comes from the fact that everyone goes for full mid game Mek-Aghs on him. I've won many 55+ minute games because a Razor carried us.

I know, I was talking about Magic Resistance, which applies to both (as well as Composite 8{3 ).

Must get:
Beastmaster
Brewmaster
Clockwerk
Juggernaut
Meepo
Necrophos
Razor
Tiny
Viper

Nice upgrade, but you most likely won't be able to get it coz you are a #4/#5:
Disruptor
Lich
Lion
Visage

Nice luxury item (meaning not needed, but get it if you have the extra dough):
Axe
Bane
Earthshaker
Invoker
Lina
Pugna
Sand King (prefer Veil of Discord over Aghs)
Warlock

Situational:
Faceless Void

NOPE NOPE NOPE:
Riki
Storm Spirit
