After the quiz proved quite popular, thought I'd follow up with another one for general use :)
Quickly, the rules!
1) No looking things up! No guides, rollovers or references.
2) Answer the question fairly quickly.
3) Do this quiz before looking at the answers below!
4) Be honest when clicking on the Poll!
I've tried to be uncontentious and explain my thoughts on the answers, although obviously a few opinions may vary, or people might want to discuss them. That's fine.
Black King Bar usually boosts the damage of which type of hero the most?
a- Strength
b- Agility
c- Intelligence
Spoiler: Click to view
A
The BKB grants strength as well as damage, boosting heroes who have that as their primary stat. In very rare cases, the straight damage from a BKB, combined with enough attack speed could actually make it higher on Agility heroes however!
Which of these stuns can go through magic immunity?
a- Magic Missile
b- Sacred Arrow
c- Reaper's Scythe
d- Storm Hammer
Spoiler: Click to view
C
Even though the damage is blocked by Magic Immunity, the stun from Reaper's Scythe will go through regardless.
Which of these heroes DOESN'T have an ability that lets them become invisible?
a- Phantom Lancer
b- Sand King
c- Treant Protector
d- Sniper
Spoiler: Click to view
D
Although a frequent Shadow Blade carrier, Sniper doesn't actually possess the ability to become invisible, even if the others have quite limited forms.
Which of these abilities DOESN'T remove any debuffs or stuns?
a- Repel
b- Aphotic Shield
c- Frost Armour
d- Press the Attack
Spoiler: Click to view
C
Frost Armor merely provides increased protection and a slow, it doesn't remove any effects from the allied unit.
Which of these heroes DOESN'T have an ability that allows them to move globally?
a- Keeper of the Light
b- Nature's Prophet
c- Wisp
d- Morphling
Which of these heroes DOESN'T have an ability that can grant them true sight?
a- Bloodseeker
b- Slardar
c- Zeus
d- Disruptor
Spoiler: Click to view
D
While Thunder Strike will continue to mark the position of an invisible unit for a brief time, it inflicts no damage to them and does not grant you vision of them. The others have Amplify Damage, Thirst, Lightning Bolt and Thundergod's Wrath.
Which of these duos can potentially take Roshan at level 0?
a- Batrider and Alchemist
b- Ursa and Wraith King
c- Centaur Warrunner and Enchantress
d- Shadow Fiend and Venomancer
Which of these heroes can cause the most problems for heroes like Alchemist, Bloodseeker and Enchantress?
a- Windranger
b- Mirana
c- Lich
d- Ancient Apparition
Spoiler: Click to view
D
While good play from any hero can be problematic, the real counter here is Ancient Apparition - his Ice Blast prevents healing for an extended period, which is a vital part of these three hero's fighting strength.
Your team is Wraith King, Chen, Pudge and Timbersaw, who is the most appropriate support from this list?
a- Vengeful Spirit
b- Bane
c- Leshrac
d- Nyx Assassin
Spoiler: Click to view
C
While none of these heroes are truly terrible choices, and it could even be argued that you should be providing teamfight, Leshrac is the best option. A team with Chen will always want to push early, and he combines extremely well with Leshrac. Your likely safe lane ally Wraith King also provides a reliable stun.
Which item generally adds the most early game damage for Luna?
a- Ring of Aquila
b- Drum of Endurance
c- Poor Man's Shield
d- Quarterstaff
Spoiler: Click to view
A
The Ring of Aquila offers the most damage (9 + 6) = 15, with a 6% AS bonus thanks to the agility gain, making it about 16 total.
Drum of Endurance offers (3 + 9) = 12, with a 15% AS bonus, totaling about 13.
The 9th is the one I got wrong, opting for Bane as he has 2 spells that can hold single targets in position, ideal for Pudge, Windranger and Wraith King
Glad ur enjoying :). Could be a nice little feature to do some more? Unfortunately the questions are much quicker to answer than write :).
Question 9 probably is the most contentious - Bane is a good setup for those 2 skillshots, but his pushing power is really minimal. If the game goes late, that team is very dependent on WK and probably offlane WR to carry them, so best to win early.
EDIT: Please do Wulfy! I was even thinking of doing sections "items, supports, abilities" etc.
Further EDIT: Updated formatting a little, updated Q9 to make it a bit "fairer".
I got them right, all of them! There were some tricky options like the Ancient Apparition one, but everyone knows his ulti counters Alchemist a lot. The support choice was also hard to understand but, as there was a Chen, I chose Leshrac because he has good pushing power; I also thought of other Heroes with good crowd control (Bane, Venge), but Lesh as an AoE stun that works wonders with Wraith King.
Same as the others, I figured Bane was the more prominent pick for the given team. While Chen gives great pushing power, I find that pushing too hard when you have kill reliant heroes really puts them in the hot box. Their teamfight is pretty good, and the ability to push is already there. Question 9 really could go either way depending on whose playing.
Same question "wrong" as the others, except I picked Vengeful Spirit.
First, I'd rather have Vengenace Aura, it not only helps with Pushing, but it also goes well with Vampiric Aura and even affects Chen's Creeps. Combine this with Wave of Terror and a Medallion of Courage and she even offers a very early Roshan.
Also Nether Swap goes well with Meat Hook, since Pudge can make a fight 5 vs 4, with you following up to make it 5 vs 3. It's useful for saving allies, but with a Pudge, a Wraith King and a Chen, you probably won't need to do that so much.
