Dota Traits that are Essential in Dating your Girl

(This article has been recently added to the guide How to Live a Balanced DotA Life.)

I am sick of Dota vs Girlfriend issue. Why don't people realize that being a good dota player corresponds to being a good partner? Dota is a training in having a good decision making and this can be applied in any aspect of life. I'll prove that in this article.

Playing Dota and Dating Traits You Should have:

Spontaneity

Dating:
To make your girl have her days with you become the best days of her life, you should have this trait, spontaneity. You should know how to listen carefully whatever your girl is saying and you should know the wittiest replies on what they are saying. She would appreciate your being a perfect listener and you would be able to leave her a good impression of your wit. You'll surely make her wanting for more as soon as you drive her back to her home.

Dota:
Like in Dating, Dota requires spontaneity. You should be abl

Well as most people have that extremely unlucky hero that when they play, for one reason or the other they lose with mine was Invoker.

Everytime I would be stuck with a bunch of losers.

I'm extremely happy to say that after around 14 consecutive matches with 12 wins and 2 losses I just raised my winrate from if i remember correctly 30 something pathetic % to a full 50% .

New Goal is now 60%, I'll keep you people updated :D

So i was happy as hell on a 6 game win streak with invoker, was gonna make it go all the way, then this ******* comes up to ruin my day, in the end he told the enemy team to commend him, that his team was noob, and he also started feeding intentionally.

All i wanna say is , WHY ME, WHY MY INVOKER, I WAS FRIKIN 5-0 THIS GAME, Who can't play a hero as simple as Lone Druid, the Guy is Tanky, Can farm easily, Scales very well, Has monstrous Disabling Power and a good stat growth.

Before this win streak i lost another one to feeders, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE *******S.

Somebody save me, or m gonna create a terrorist cell to find these people and kill them.

Also I am going to start the search for the dragon balls, WHO IS WITH ME? All willing to serve Lord Abaddon on his unholy mission please line-up.

looking at how games play out in pubs i find that there are 3 things that stand out to me.

1. as much as its a team game, if you have a hero that can snowball and they do so, they can carry a horribly drafted team to victory. i.e. Storm Spirit the ball of electric snow

2.it only takes one player to ruin the game for the rest.

3. searching in anything less then a 5 stack usually means your going to get stuck with an idiot....90% of the time.

tales from the Pub...(credit to threadsoffate)

the scene:

4 stack captains mode SEA servers

the one player who isnt in our stack seems to be decent he chats (read:Types) he communicates that he would like to support, ohhhh lordy what a great stroke of luck this is a player that WANTS to support of praise be Lord Gabe...... ohhhh what a cruel trick that was.

i draft a decent line up bristle solo off, invoker mid, sladar hard carry tri with a AA and then it comes round to ...lets call him "Jimmy" , Jimmy says he plays a great venomancer, well …

Seeing ThreadOfFate's blog post, i thought i'd share a common experience of every good player in these harsh times,

DOtabuff link to game

Game starts, I random Alchemist, call the safelane, a few seconds later a Weaver and antimage are picked, I say all is well , ill support and go for a mid alchemist and call the guys to get a support.

Lightning strikes as the pro noob picks up an Ember Spirit, i tell him i called mid 2 min ago, he says "i go mid kill pudge" , i hear the victory bells ringin already, still i think maybe we can pull through.

Next up enigma pick, i think its nice, guy picks a support, maybe he is good. I buy courier and tell him to get wards, he says flat out no. I sadly buy the wards and head offlane as AM called solo top(we were dire) expecting weaver to follow me, they both take safelane together.

News Flash! First mid lane Pudge kills ember. I solo kill bot against a dual but its not enough, i die to gank, i cant stop PA from farming.

Fights start, AM feed…

The pro pub player's pudge experience

So here we are again, waiting to laugh at my misfortune of being stuck with stupid/hateful/passive-aggressive teammates. We've done this twice already, here's the next instalment.

Regular pub game (New UI is freaking BALLER, by the way) with a surprisingly good team lineup (for a pub game):
- Pudge
- Clinkz
- Witch Doctor
- Slark
- Skywrath Mage

Now, I normally don't play pudge, but the heroes they picked just BEGGED for a hero like Pudge:
- Queen of Pain
- Venomancer
- Sniper
- Crystal Maiden
- Faceless Void

I mean...LOOK HOW SQUISHY!

Anyway the moment I last pick Pudge (I'm a prick, I know.) and join the game, the Witch doctor and Venomancer both say: "Wow. Pudge playing prick." Yeah, not giving me high hopes for the game. I was later justified in thinking this.

So obviously I go mid and farm, vs QoP. I did surprisingly well against this Qop, and landed three hooks on her (only one of them netted me a kill though :P).
The QoP player was …

Okay here's a crazy idea. What if you had a safe lane farming Io
and a carry like PA or Morphling mid. Io could get a Shadow Blade and tons of regen items like Heart of Tarrasque and Urn of Shadows. Before a team fight, Io can activate regen items, tether to the carry and Shadow Blade. The carry gets ridiculous regen, as Io's Shadow Nlades stop the regen being interrupted. There must be flaws with this, as it has never been done before, but what are they? Leave suggestions in the comments.

To start off, I'd like to crunch some numbers related to a subject I covered in the Zeus guide: magic amplification.

You mean what you got called out on for calculating incorrectly?

Yeah. That one. I put some thought into it to make sure my numbers were 100% right after that, and the research gave me some pretty interesting ideas that I'd like to share. The main question we'll be asking today is... well, ok there are two. The first is: what is the maximum amount of magic amplification you can apply on a hero? The second, and arguably most important is: is the team composition required to make such a thing happen viable at all?

Prooobably not, just from what I'm doing in my head.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but I haven't crunched the numbers just yet, so let's see what we've got. For starters, it's best we lay bare some of the basic mechanics of magic amplification and resistance in Dota 2.

1)All heroes start off with a base magic resistance of 25%. There are, of course,…
