Hey, I would like to talk with you about Jakiro. As some of you know, I am absolutely in love with this hero, but I would like to know your thoughts on him.

  • Could you list his strenghts and weaknesses?
  • On which lane do you see him? Is Jakiro offlane viable?
  • Is he rather position 5 or 4?
  • What is your experience on this hero?
  • What do you feel, when you see that there is Jakiro in the enemy team? What do you expect, and what are you afraid of?
  • What do you expect from Jakiro in your team?
  • What is your favourite item on Jakiro (and why is it Eul's Scepter of Divinity? :D).
  • Are you using Liquid Fire on auto-cast?

You can of course add anything related to Twin Head Dragon. I am waiting for your input!

EDIT: I am making this thread for myself, but also for less experienced players to gain more knowledge about the hero, because he isn't the most popular support. Although, I already noticed that Jakiro is getting more popular, because quite often I see people on my friends list, that they are currently playing him. In previous week, I saw Wulfstan playing Jakiro at least 3 times!

:D

Strengths: Lots of AOE, great pusher, really nice harass.

Weakness: Casting animation. It's really terrible.

Lane: Offlane support (in 2-1-2)

I feel he's a 4, he really wants Eul's to set up his spells.

When Jakiro is on the other team, I buy more tangos when I'm in his lane. I want more AOE and possible some mobile heroes.

It IS Eul's. the set up is really nice, the mana regen is awesome and the movespeed is a bonus.

No, LF is not on autocast.

I think Jakiro is one of the strongest lane supports, being able to orbwalk with Liquid Fire is nice to not disrupt the creepwave. Once its maxed, I do normally just keep it on autocast unless there is something specific I want it for. I think his ult is situationally really powerful, but unless you have bigggg CC you can't keep people in it for long enough, so its better used as a zoning tool in many scenarios. Hmmm, maybe we could add a slow to his ult? that'd probably be OP
I got to Notable, Thanks!

I was once considering his alternative Aghanim's Scepter upgrade. What if you would cast Macropyre with Ice Path in the same time with Agh's (increased range and damage would be like in the old Agh's upgrade though)? Ice Path would be on a shared cooldown of course.

Maybe it would be too underwhelming for 4200 gold. You would have 2.2 sec solid Macropyre damage, but is it enough to make it viable? I don't think so. In some cases that would be a great set-up for other stuff, but you can still walk in with Ice Path, then somebody puts a great disable ultimate like Reverse Polarity or Black Hole, and you put Macropyre on your enemies.

Very good lane harasser due Liquid Fire and his natural tankiness. But in return very slow ( but still faster than Crystal Maiden :D )
I used to play him as 5th when I played him ages ago. I see no problem to play him as lane supporter without any farm.

Ofc he make the most of Euls but he he only needs it as a more active team member. Just sitting in the background for saving Ice Paths or followed up Ice Paths with a decent ult with the right heroes makes him a viable 5th in my opinion.

Personally I see him as a neutral opponent or ally and Im not making the mistake to expect too much from anyone. This just results in PJSalt.

Liquid Fire is NEVER on Auto-cast for me, due quickcast i dont have even to click more to use it

I'm really confused how no one has mentioned that Liquid Fire is one of the single best pushing abilities in the game... Like that's one of the main reasons Jakiro was first pick/ban for quite a while, quite recently.

He's playable as a 3 position (He's a really good dual offlane hero. Since he's so tanky, and can still win his lane hard)., a 4, even a safe laner (When you really want to push fast, and have a Mid who can pick up the relative slack in DPS). He scales well with farm (Given Blink Dagger + Eul's Scepter of Divinity into the full combo is really strong).

Even with the general nerf to push strats, I think Jakiro is under utilized a it tbh. The ability to slow push like Liquid Fire enables is still really good, despite the nerf to push strats. (Well except when you miss up high ground)

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

I basically needed something to counterinitiate with on a static target, and he's really good against Techies as well because you can scout with Ice Path for bombs while having a gem.

Believe it or not, I always get Rod of Atos over Eul's Scepter of Divinity unless I am up against some real annoying enemies such as Storm Spirit.

I do not think that he can offlane. His lane pressence is abyssmal in the early game, Liquid Fire has 20 seconds cooldown. Goodluck getting possitive trades with that, your ****py attack animation, and against almost any support that has more damage than you do (looking at you, Winter Wyvern and Crystal Maiden).

Also, you derpy little stalker ^^

So i have never played Jakiro but i think i can answer most of these questions.

Strenghts: LOTS of AOE -> good pusher, lots of CC, attack speed debuff that affects towers, tanky

Weakneses: Long casting animations, slow

Role: I would play him as a 5 if i will ever play him. I also have seen a offlane Jakiro few times and it seemd to work quite well. He isn't a tier 1 offlaner but works in certain situations.

How do i ferl when there's Jakiro in enemy team? I dunno, he isn't played that much but normally i get ready dor early pushes.

What do i expect from a friendly Jakiro? Again i dunno because he isn't played that much. I just hope he does his job as a support well.

Best Item? Euls ofc. Because your stun is hard to hit and FREE "purge".

I wouldn't use Liquid Fire on auto cast early because it will just push the lane. Mid/late game i would have it on auto cast.

I've played solo offlane Jakiro a few times as well as a solo safelane when the team ran an aggro tri (this was before the slight nerf to Liquid Fire). He's not terrible in offlane but he's not amazing. Getting quick levels in liquid fire is great if you're a push oriented team and want to win by mid game. Also having your own lane of potential farm helps getting core items out a bit faster to help your team out. However, I'd prefer to play him in the 4 position, in lane with a good disabler like Lion/SS to pretty much make Ice Path a sure thing. He's a great hero with a lot of CC. As far as his ulti, a few people were talking about his Aghs upgrade, I'd rather go for a Veil before Aghs if your team has some decent magic spells to lineup with it so you help everyone. The damage ends up being a bit better that way and the armor is always welcome on Jakiro (tho Aghs would give you more raw HP).

Boys the offlane jakiro is not played in a full 1 1 3 lane setup.....
Dual or semi dual offlanes are extremely strong.
