When getting deso i was feeling like a bit meh its quite pricey for a mid game item (4k LOOKS pricey) and u could always get a cuirass which is a gazillion times better than deso for just 1k more gold

I was thinking of a price reduction.

Reduce recipe cost

Or change to another ingredient

Letssee

Mithril Hammer 1600
Mithril Hammer 1600
recipe 500

Total 3800

Or maybe we could remove recipe (buff price) and reduce armor reduction (effect nerf)

Thoughts?

Don't underesimate this item.
Against a hero with 7 armor it reduces his armor to zero which means +42% to your damage. In comparision Daedalus crit is only +35% to your damage.
Rushing a deso is pretty much like having a critalus for only 4100 gold.

Ever tried rushing a deso on Clinkz? It's pretty broken. You essentially 3-4 shot any hero and they can't do **** about it. It's a bit the same on PA. It's expensive in order to prevent that.
It's really an item you need to rush, farm this for ~12 minutes and then go kill stuff.

Cuirass is very different. Deso is a mid-game item that you build to 3-shot heroes. Cuirass is a late game item that you build to win teamfights.
Deso is the best mid game DPS item. Cuirass hardly gives any DPS.

Simple as that - if you intend to fight a lot, build AC(but better build BKB), if you are giong to feed on solo-targets, get Deso. Usually the more farm-dependant heroes they have, the less they are willing to fight, meaning you can check the map for easy kills on farming heroes.

Deso is also better on more bursty heroes like TA and Bounty Hunter.

the problem with deso is that it really falls of compared to deadalus and MKB, since the minus armor is far less relevant against high armor targets. and on top of it it means you cant get dominator/satanic.
so you pretty much never get it on 1# carries apart from a few exeptions like weaver and clinkz, and there arent that much semi carries who have place for it either.
it has its place in the game as a damage item that is really good when you get it early, but you get punished for it if it doesnt do enough work fast.

it could probably get some small buff to make it situational on other heroes like ember spirit, since right now stacking crits and battlefuries is just more effective.

Deso vs AC depends on the hero type - there's no point stacking up lots of attack speed if you don't have the damage to go with it. Deso also works on towers for faster pushing. AC tends to be a good pickup when you have damage but lack armour/as - generally strength rather than agility heroes.

Both are good as part of a general armour reduction strategy, but deso falls off faster against high armour targets, and obviously stops you getting another UAM.

You also forgot speed when talking about AC. Hyperstone ftw
