Below 3k - complete nonsense, good games happen, but the level is just so ****ing low it's hard to enjoy the game.

3-4k - the skill is still low, and now metagame starts speaking instead of player's brains. Build an item that is NOT in the metagame? Ggwp report let me show you how it's done by farming enemy jungle without vision.

4-5k - most players call it the worst RMM tier because whilethe level of play is jsut a bit better than 3k-s, thier self-assurement and arrogance is like they are dota gods. Perhaps the worst place to be at because even if you mute every last one of them, stupid decisions remain besides there are pings an wheel chat to abuse yet.

5-6k - 4k extra, also say hello to abusers, and prerpare for ES, Ogre, Sky, Slark and the company to rape your sorry A$$.

6k+ - you get matched with 4-5k players and your *** just incenerates from their gameplay and ignorance.

From 4.1 to 2.6, trust me, ITS ALL THE SAME.

At my best I was around 3.5k mmr, and at my worst I was at about 2.6k. In all honesty, there's little difference. You see a lot more people who have really mastered certain heroes (so really good Invoker, Meepo, Earth Spirit players) at the 3.5k level, but there isn't much cooperation. A lot of the people in this tier, imo, have just gotten there by insta picking their favorite and only playing them. As a result they have this "single-player dota" mentality where they just do their own thing for the most part.

At 2.6k you get a lot more insta random picks followed by "can anyone play this hero?" and a lot of terrible item builds. 14 minute midas on a safelane Slark was my most recent favorite. But you also get people who follow the valve guides to a T and rush Linken's on Weaver in 10/10 games.

I'd say that in general, you get people who just don't know the game that well the lower you go, and the attitudes get worse as you go up. People treat that mmr number as something holy once they reach a certain level, but it doesn't carry much meaning tbh. Regardless, they'll shove it in your face and pretend it makes them better than everyone.

That being said, my most enjoyed games have oftentimes been ranked. I feel like you're far more likely to get a team who at least communicates and executes a plan in ranked.
