Hypothesis 1:
A spell deals 100 damage
Is amplified by 25% into 125 damage (amplify magic damage does not reduce magic resistance)
Target has 25% magic resist before and after magic amplification, receiving 125 - (125:4) damage
Hypothesis 2:
A spell deals 100 damage
Is amplified by 25% into 125 damage (amplify magic damage reduces magic resistance)
Target has 0% magic resist after magic amplification, receiving 125 damage
So essentially the question is, do amplify magic damage stacks with magic resist reduction like Decrepify+ Ancient Seal, or the game redo the maths?
Also, Magical Damage Amplification stacks, so if you used Max Level Ancient Seal, followed by Ethereal Blade for 100 Damage, you'd get:-
==100 * (1 + 0.4) * (1 + 0.45) * (1 - 0.25)
As for "Hypothesis 2", Magic Resistance Stacks in the same way, so if you use Ancient Seal + Ethereal Blade on a Rubick with Maxed out Null Field for 100 Damage, you'd get:-
The only ability I know of that reduces Magic Resistance is Ice Vortex, but don;'t think that it gives you 0.25 - 0.3 Magic Resistance, it stacks multiplicatively, so again, if you used Ancient Seal and Ethereal Blade AND Ice Vortex on a Rubick with Maxed out Null Field you would get:-

There is actually no such thing as "magic resistance reduction". Only one thing exists : "magic damage amplification". Ethereal blade, Pugna, Elder Titan, Skywrath, Veil, Ancient apparition, it's all the same. There is only one type of effect and it all stacks multiplicatively.
Tooltips have been fixed recently, at least on Elder Titan and Skywrath. It was horribly unclear before.
lvl 3 Mystic Flare : 1400 damage
25% natural magic resist : *0.75
40% amplification from Eblade : *1.4
45% amplification from ancient seal : *1.45
Total : 1400*0.75*1.4*1.45=2131 pure damage. And that's just the ult not even the Eblade damage. Eblade Dagon Skywrath OP :)
If you add a veil, multiply the result by 1.25. If the target is an Anti-mage, multiply it by 0.5. And so on.
Orchid Malevolence is a bit different. What orchid does is, at the end of the 5 seconds, it deals magical damage equal to 30% of the total damage taken during the debuff. Orchid doesn't technically amplify damage, it just adds an additional source of damage after a set time.
