Guys, I have a terrible confession to make...

It's tough to know where to begin...

...Was it just a random game sometime?

...Was it the nice legendary set Xyrus gave me?

...Was it the rework to make them less insta-kill?

I'll just say it.

I like the new Techies.

- I like roaming the map picking up bounty runes, planting mines in sneaky places where they'll probably finish off a wounded enemy, or ambush a healthy one.

- I like covering my towers in durty, durty Remote Mines and then blowing up random enemies who aren't smart enough to figure out these buildings will be covered in mines.

- I even like Statis Mines and think people should use them a whole lot more. It's a fricking 600 AOE 5 second root.

- And most of all, I like guzzling on Clarity potions while building my Soul Ring, warding for the team and not being that selfish guy who thinks they're a core.

I feel better now, the burden is finally lifted. Let the abuse begin...

Tru dat. Although since they implemented about half my ideas for rework, it's only fair I gave them a chance (Techies Rework Thread).

Since you can now spot basic mines with no need for sentries, you can't stack them for insta-kills, they're much fairer in my eyes. No more suicide squad instakill/deny. Much better hero imho.

I still feel a bit dirty though :)

Can we have Techies carry already ? he can farm fast and furious, nobody gonna contest his farm and he can make space for his team protecting his lane and pushing towers.

What justify his carry potential ? his insane range is cool and he can stun people for a long time with stasis trap and bloodthorn them to death.

A friend of mine became sick after release of the patch 7.00 (for real) his obsession for Techies is even stronger than mine for Huskar so he would probably beat the **** out of you because of what said sando

Ever since the rework I've been glad to have a good Techies on my team. He's really good for securing map space the more aggressively he mines, and pushes very solidly as well as having strong teamfight presences (especially after a couple items). He's a very solid utility #4.
