So uhm....You talk about wombo - combos and then about strange builds....
Strange builds mean troll builds like my Blink Dagger Necronomicon Anti-Mage?
You should clarify if you want fun matches(with silly builds) or just non-tryhard matches (normal builds but fun drafts/heroes).

Play stuff that is as much fun/silly as you want, and you can definitely go for trolly builds. But for the sake of not throwing games (nobody likes throwing), I'll put two limits :

- It has to make sense in some way. It has to actually have some logic that helps you beat the other team - even if it's only in a kyfoid kind of way. Like you can definitely build a dagon on Morphling or an Ethereal Blade on Tiny because it makes sense (especially in a 5 dagon lineup), you can build a Blink Dagger on Queen of Pain (it actually does something useful for you)...but you can't go stack 3 Eul's Scepter of Divinity on Bloodseeker just to go really fast because it doesn't help you beat the enemy team in any way. You can't take farm or spend gold that doesn't make your hero significantly stronger, the stuff you buy has to do something.

- You have to stick to your role. If you farm safe lane, you have to play a carry or pusher. If you go mid, you have to play a snowballer, a pusher or a semi-carry that actually scales with farm. If you play support, you have to be useful with low farm and help win your lanes. Etc.
For example you can definitely play a mid or safe lane Vengeful Spirit, play a roaming support Tiny, or farm safe lane with Skywrath Mage : because venge and sky can be built as carries, and Tiny can roam well and have high impact with only a blink. Or you can play a support Invoker because he can roam with invis and Q-W invo doesn't need items to initiate. But if you want to go Aghs/refresher on Luna, you can't go safe lane, since you're playing nuking Luna not carry Luna...so it's mid or offlane for you. Same thing if you want to go for Blink Dagger + Ethereal Blade on Anti-Mage, you're playing ganking AM not carry AM so you can't farm safe lane...but offlane is perfectly fine. Blink/armlet Terrorblade...same. Or if you farm safe lane with Elder Titan, you can't go aghs or dagon...you have to go Desolator with a blink or shadowblade and play right-click ET since your enemies have no armor (dagon ET goes offlane) :)
Essentially, you need to have the impact and build that corresponds to the role you're taking. You can play anything as a support, carry, mid, whatever, but build your guy to fill that role.

So yes, troll all you want, but don't throw. That's the guideline. As Kyphoid says, "challenge the way we play dota" XD

So, I am gonna a play a "sniper" Sniper which someone did (out of neccesity) in a recent inhouse :D

Ya know they should make hedshot a crit and replace shrapnel with something similar to meld to make him an actual sniper type hero.
