Don't build MoM or some **** on him, build Agi and tank items, and basher.
and diffusal if they have a bounty or slardar to scrub the true vision off (also get it if they do use dust). don't upgrade it to lvl 2 if you have stacks on lvl 1
Might give Morphling a try as a "ganker-carry" though it looks hard, it seems interesting to play.
Thanks for the advice Wulfstan, I tried Medusa again with an early Basilius and Phase. It was ok to last hit, partly because I had 2 other heroes in lane with me. Then I've seen some builds using Manta/Linken into Butterfly/Skadi... Damn so much farm ahead.
hey there V-Slash ...ill just "steal" your template here and suggest hereos, that i have found to be good ....this is just my personal opinion and thus strongly bias'ed, but give it a try if you want :D
The lines between the respective Position# can sometimes be very thin (especially between #5 and #4) so dont fixate on it too much.
- Push-focused: rly only Shadow Shaman comes to mind ...for obvious reasons.
- TTT-focused: Keeper of the Light, Rubick. Amazing utility heroes that have good waveclear and are able to put alot on pressure on the enemy laners.
__________________________________________
Position 4:
- Gank-focused: Nyx Assassin, Sand King. Both of them are rather "risk-free" gankers, as they can get in and out of fights rather easily with just a Blink Dagger.
- Push-focused: Chen and Undying... Both of them basically can bring an entire army with them, which can punish enemies trying to defend.
- TTT-focused: Ancint Apparition, Disruptor, Treant Protector and Dazzle are amazing at defending highground-chokepoints thanks to their ults and can put entire teams in serious trouble if they enemy heroes arent spread out.
__________________________________________
Position 3:
- Gank-focused: Mirana and Clinkz. Great escape/initiation and high damage output. If the support leaves the lane (for whatever reason) they can easily go toe-to-toe with the enemy carry and (if not even killing him) disrupt his farm massively.
- Push-focused: Broodmother ...nothing to add here :D
- TTT-focused: Phoenix and (my personal favourite and "jack of all trades") Windrunner. Those have nice depush/waveclear, long-range CCs and good Dps...what else would you want.
__________________________________________
Position 2:
- Gank-focused: Queen of Pain, Puck and Storm Spirit come to mind if you need mobility nukers with some serious damage potential.
- Push-focused: Dragon Knight and Death Prophet. Their ults are extremely potent against towers and can also be devastating in Teamfights.
- TTT-focused: Invoker, Ember Spirit, Tinker and Magnus. All 4 are able to severely punish push-attempts and bring amazing Aoe Damage / CC into teamfights.
__________________________________________
Position 1:
- Gank-focused: Slark and Phantom Assassin pop into my head, when you are looking for more gank oriented "snowbally" heroes. With the right team-support both can dish out insane amounts of damage and farm their items by killing heroes instead of creeps.
- Push-focused: Anti Mage, Phantom Lancer, Naga Siren..etc. etc. If unchecked these heroes can push down an entire lane by themselfs. Pick your Poison.
This turned out to be a longer post than i initially intended. So i hope this helps in one way or another :D
Edit: apparently i put in quite a few heroes you already had on your "dont like" list....changed them with some viable alternatives. Left in the "bad at" heroes however, since i really think you should give them another try :3

No problem. Always happy to help! You have to practice last hitting. You can do this by joining a lobby, picking a hero, buy no items/get no skills, go to a lane, and last hit until 10 minutes. You should get about 50 on average.
Thank you so much L0bstz0r. Lots of obvious choices that I forgot like Shaman and DP, plus a nice set of heroes to think about. Some of them I'll keep for later when I'm better at handling them ( Invoker and Tinker especially) but most of them AA, Treant I'll certainly try. Phoenix looked squishy for an offlane, have to dig about that as well
Actually I randomed Mirana recently and really liked her. Had a good game with Luna as well... :) Updated my list and it's pretty much clear now.
Wulfstan you are so right. As I changed carries my problems stayed the same: Other teammates were farming much better than I do. I Tried your training in a 1v1 midlane against a difficult bot.. got 12-14 cs maybe, I'm so far from 50. What I "sort of" suspected appears to be clearly my problem as a carry player. I'm now digging into heroes attack points and backswing mechanics, trying to find an easy farmer, but I'm pretty much on a good way now.

Just take baby steps. Bots will always buy items. Start with absolutely no bots, no items, no skills, and not getting stats as well when leveling up. And try to get the last hits. Then, go up against some competition (bots).
Wulfstan, how do you train against no bots?? I've always wanted to know that, and the cheats (for when you want to try that item in that specific hero but don't want to do an entire bot game just for it).
Against no bots??? You create a lobby and put yourself in one slot. And then you start the game after unchecking that box that says fill empty slots with bots.
I am pretty sure that i got your post wrong.... I will never understand girls (i assume that you are a girl because of the way you talk and your name :3)
I guess activating cheats is clear and then just give yourself the amount of gold (- goldxyz).
Again sry if i got your post wrong (which I obviously did )
You've got nothing wrong! Thanks michimatsch! :) I always wondered how people did the vids with no bots and special effects like 5 Svens lol
The cheat of gold, I assume, is - goldxyz. Will try all that soon.
Sorry for getting a bit out of the topic here! My contribution as an awesome high skill support (eheh) but terrible carry: try Riki indeed. But do it with inteligence, don't just stay around the enemies all the time, do not assume they are stupid and lazy enough to not have detection. Play as if you're a hero with high DPS and a very special Silver Edge plus 4 Blink Daggers. His mobility is the thing now, he's really fun, and a good door into the carry world :)
PS: Tip into understanding girls: you just... Don't. ahahahah
