I agree with Timmy, drafting would be much harder and basically games would be decided REALLY during the drafting stage.

This would bring so much confusion and unbalance, that we could see good teams falling apart, while they didn't deserve it.

So long as we can get 2 games, sure, this could turn out to be quite fun. <}3

While it could potentially make the game more interesting to watch, it would, as already said, make the drafting really confusing. It also removes the threat of a signature hero almost completely, limits the possibilities for strategies, and makes adapting between games in a series almost impossible. Also, while the games are also cast and shown on twitch and dota tv to viewers, the point of tournaments is for professional teams to compete. Not only does this sound like a way too viewer-oriented approach to me, but also pretty artificial. The optimal would be to balance the heroes well enough, so as many of them as possible would be regularly picked. I also enjoy meta as a concept. It makes the game less confusing, but also keeps it fresh with the trends and popular heroes being picked changing along with the patches.

It shall be called "Fedorable's Mode" or "FM" for the sake of convenience and because you'll probably saying FML after trying it.

This might sound really gimmicky, but maybe themed lineups?

I mean, I understand the impracticality.

But wouldn't it look cool?

Silly idea, I know.
