yeah BH can be really good against jungle lycan especially since you need to tank the creeps yourself getting yourself low (I wonder why BS is also so good against lycan) making it easy for BH to kill you are getting you to back delaying vlads.

Or if you also let your wolf tank he will just kill one of them if they get to low gaining money soem xp and delaying your camp clear a little bit
In love with the random button

No offence intended here, but have you been watching the pro scene at all since The Summit 3? Bounty Hunter is a fairly common pick-up, and at the very least gets a lot of ban potential. And that was the tourney I believe he started getting attention in.

In fact that specific cause was the reason the hero got shifted into the meta in the first place, because people wanted a counter pick to Chen, who was an extremely powerful hero at the time. Since then people realised how much the hero can do even at level 1-2, and how absurd Track gold can be right now after a decent team-fight (And since this is a skirmishing meta...) and is a pretty common support pick-up, even without a Chen to counter.

In fact, you'll be harder pressed to find a Bounty Hunter offlane game sooner than a Bounty Hunter support game.

EDIT; As for a match ID, as I said go back to the Summit 3 (I think it was), over the course of that tourney you so both a BH crippling Chen's, to a Chen that actually managed to force the BH out of his jungle, and still have the reguar impact (Which is an extremely hard thing to do)

If you already know the answer, why bother asking for a match ID? No, I don't watch competitive Dota that often because I play so many games at the same time that I don't have time to watch all. When Summit 3 was on, I was watching CS:GO ESL which was by far more interesting at that point in time.

well then you shouldnt really comment about what heroes are getting picked if you dont know what heroes are getting picked. :P

I'm not the guy who asked for the match ID. We just have the same avi ^_^

And, I was just politely pointing out that since The Summit 3, there's been a lot of Bounty Hunter picks, so finding a BH match isn't hard. Finding one to counter Chen is a tad harder, because Chen has dropped off in usage a tad. I probably phrased it poorly, but that was my intention.

But like, if you don't watch that much competitive DOTA, there's nothing wrong with saying that and going 'As far as I know, X doesn't happen in pro games, or isn't ran ect ect, but I don't watch that much, so someone else can probably comment on it more' rather than making a blanket statement. Because a lot of stuff happens in the competitive scene that others.

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Dang it I mixed you up by mistake because you have the same avatar picture, my bad. (I guess because I'm just stupid - seriously)

Beside the point, I don't really watch much competitive - I already told you why, but I have seen it being done, just not recently.

I just got done playing a match with a Tidehunter and Earthshaker combo. I picked tidehunter to solo the offlane, and earthshaker as a support with stuns. I picked lycan for myself obviously. From that point, I was talking with my team about finding a good mid and a second carry, and we landed on meepo and necrophos. So let me know what you guys think. Match ID 1615072251.

It would be easier if you would post us a picture with the game's scoreboard either from the game itself or DotaBuff - helps us get a good first impression. By the sound of it, almost your entire line-up was going to get countered by BKB. It's really late now, I'll look over it in the morning.

I guess I could do that. So far, the biggest counters I have found to lycan are Sven, Ursa, Bloodseeker, Faceless Void, Phantom Assassin, Templar Assassin, Troll Warlord, Huskar and Phantom Lancer.

As a captain, I only have five bans available, so as soon as I pick lycan, my opponents are going to counterpick him. I sometimes get people on my team who gets really angry I pick him, and when I ask for a reason they usually say its because he is a ****py and outdated hero, possibly referring to the fact that he is weak compared with most other carries.

Maybe I should see if I could add some of these hard counters to my draft, or perhaps try a new super push draft with some heroes which are good at pushing with lycan.

Don't always pick Lycan.

There are a lot of games where there are better picks for the job. Perhaps you want a Naga, or a Lifestealer, or a Terrorblade... loljokes nobody picks terrorblade :(

Lycan fits well into deathball, which can be done this patch... but he is rather outdated.
There are two kinds of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.

I'm about to get to 3k matchmaking rating, and my search times are increasing to a point where it takes about 30 minutes to find a damn match. Something tells me that 3k is above average since I had much lower search times when I was in 2k machmaking rating.

I'm trying out various heroes and draft to see what works. So far, I have had some succes going with tide as the solo offlane hero, and I'm looking to try out vengeful spirit as she look pretty good on paper. Vengence aura gives a 36% bonus damage so that should be good for boosting my DPS.
