so i think the armlet dominator build kind of outdated, and i thing octarine core would be nice on huskar because makes his orb nice late game, as he can manfight and stuff
what do you guys thing, also mana boots for the healing abuse and mekanism for extra hp
It could work if you get Aghanim's Scepter so Life Break has a 4 second cooldown (and deal 65% damage instead of 35%). But it really needs some thorough testing. Remember, Huskar's biggest weakness is the lack of armor.
Yes, old Armlet-HotD build is outdated, but there's a better idea than 6k gold item that gives you no armor or attack damage whatsoever.
Guardian Greaves. This 15 armor and 15 regen is just soooo good, plus you will always have mana for Mek PLUS you are extremely useful to your team PLUS you dispel **** from yourself which is huge as well.
And then there are you BKBs, Aghs, Satanics, Silver Edges etc, whatever you get. To not be a damageless chunk of meat you better buy Armlet before greaves tho.
There is only one thing very important on huskar, that you always rush a damn armlet, the only time it sucks is against Ancient Apparition but that also means that the huskar pick itself sucks.
Personally i just think that Satanic is just so insane on him.
Id have to see more guardian greaves on him to see if its really good, so im not sure now.
Ok now compare octarine core to satanic.
Core has a useless buildup, and most of the value is lost by giving useless mana.
It relies on the enemy not having BKB, and doesnt give you the ability to just instantly regen your way up from 1 to 3000 HP.
While huskar benefits from everything satanic gives, from the strength to the armor.
He doesnt benefit from the cooldown reduction much either, i mean its kind of nice but it doesnt do anything for your 2 best skills.

I agree with you, this is why i said mekans and mana boots in my build
what about Solar Crest ??
as wolfstain said, the mains huskar¯¿½´s trouble is armor and physycal damage and i am aware of it ( besides low mmr i am no fool :) )
so solar crest give him armor and a evasion, which evade pshycal damage

Not a poor choice at all. Problem with Guardian Greaves is that half of the item is absolutely useless. The passive is really good for the armor boost though. Is it worth it? Not in every game. Mostly I'd stick to the Mekansm.
And I've seen quite a few "dunk builds" with aghs+veil. It's actually quite decent, as long as you can get some cheap armor. What I mean by Greaves being useless is that the recepe is really expensive and Arcane Boots is just trashcan tier on Huskar.
There's no part to be useless if you actually stick with the team and deathball TI4-style. Huskar is a poor carry anyway, the only reason to give him position 1 is to acquire that Guardian Greaves and Armlet of Mordiggian and he is set. Early to mid game there are very few heroes who can rip through 20+ armor. It really works wonders if you combine it with Magic Stick.
Solar Crest is a bad choice 100%. If you use the active, all the bonuses are gone and you mostly deal magic damage, so it's of no use for you. If you don't, you just throw out 3k gold.

the active is pretty useful but only for 1v1 as you jump in reduce armor and give them 30% miss and then hit them with phys basics with the magic DoT.
If you want to make it more usefull even in teamfights you need to build more raw damage (and that means swapping some items as you have bkb-sc-hotd-armlet-boots already with it :/)
Theoretically it could work well on him (combined with Aghanim's Scepter, it could lead to some pretty epic lifesteal), the issue would be magic immunity.
Personally, I favour the Veil/Armlet/Aghs build - you throw out tons of magical damage so the veil makes a lot of sense, while also giving armour. Armlet for AS/survivability/damage, aghs is just OP basically.
Dunk build FTW. I'd play him as a #2 instead of a #1 unless you have some kind of very aggressive win by midgame plan.
