Poll Question:


If Sniper's ultimate were to get a scepter upgrade, what would you want it to be?
Upgraded Damage and/or Reduced mana cost
Be able to bypass magic immunity
Have the damage be dealt as pure damage
Have the cooldown reset if target is killed by ultimate (like culling blade)
Projectile cannot be disjointed

the closer they are the less time it takes for him to shoot but the greater percentage to miss they have.

the longer away he is the longer it takes to shoot but the more potential damage he can do. something like.


Assasinate

sniper sets up his
rifle for a kill taking his time and making sure the shot counts.

enemies targeted within a radius of 500 :
25% chance to miss.
no set up time.
deals 200/300/400 damage
150% crit on the damage.
8% chance to crit

enemies within 1000 radius :
18% chance to miss
1.5 second charge time
deals 250/350/450
160%crit
16% to crit

enemies within 1800 radius:
8% chance to miss
3 second charge time.
deals 300/400/500 damage
175% crit
23% to crit.


I like the idea but maybe when the target is as far away as 1800 dotameters there should be a 0% miss rate??

Make Assassinate a skillshot with point targeting and 2 second charge time.
Change the damage from a static value to a scaling 100/200/300 + 2/3/4* intelligence
Aghanim's Scepter gives global range, so you can snipe anyone anywhere now. And adds a 4th level of damage.
And make Sniper an INT hero. Sniper shouldn't be a right-click hero, he should be an ability based carry like Invoker or Timbersaw.

Here, Sniper is now fun.

Actually, I dont think Assassinate is a bad skill.

600 dmg on 15 seconds of cooldown isnt terrible. The problem is that people use it SOLELY on kill stealing.

It is a fine way to snipe long range targets, but really some(if not most) uses it wrong.

A Witch Doctor exposes itself for 1 second? Assassinate. Actually this is a good way to harass supports before an encounter. Can even be used to harass your lane for possible gankers.

The only buff i want is a nerf on mana cost. Assassinate is strong as it is.

Also, I would leave Shrapnel alone.

I just want a merged take aim and headshot, because both are quite underwhelming skills on their own, and a third skillshot like windrunner's and for sharpnel to affect buildings again.
New sharpnel is really underwhelming now imo, its only real use is to get vision

Well it has insane range, plus the stats are mediocre on him at best, Sniper is a damage based hero and stats don't do **** on him. It'd kind of be a waste of gold to buy it on him to get a balanced upgrade. If It was super OP like shooting out two or three bullets that'd be worth but that's just not okay.
