Altheleos, the Paradox Construct is an extremely unorthodox hero that defies a conventional dota 2 hero in a lot of ways, however, it is meticulously designed to be actually balanced by Dota2's standards. Do note, however, that since there are no heroes that has quite the same strange skill-set as Paradox Construct, achieving number balance with no playtest is a tall order.
Right off the bat, Altheleos has ZERO strength and ZERO strength gain! It starts the game running at 200 HP unless it buys strength items. It is also perpetually disarmed, never able to release a single normal attack in its life. Instead, it relies on its powerful abilities to deal damaage and keep the mechanical maniac alive.
Its Astral Pointer dictates the location in which Astral Cannon and Sunburst Guillotine will be fired. Astral Cannon streams a deadly laser beam in the Astral Pointer Area, substituting as its attack damage. Sunburst Guillotine charges up Altheleos in bright awesome light, dealing high damage and stun to enemies, paradoxically deals more damage the more resistant its enemies are! Meanwhile, Paradox Genome will forever be on a throne of the most OP abilities. To compensate its strength stat, Paradox Construct flat out reduces sources of damage. Damage reduction is stronger the higher the damage, capping at a certain point.
Immaculate Graviton is an ultimate aura. Enemies who overstayed their welcome and sticks too near the mechanical construct for too long will take pure DPS which heals the construct. And despite being an ultimate on a overly complicated hero, it has the simplest active component: slow enemies in an aura! Truly, a paradox in the delicate thread of Dota 2 existence!
Watch out for random glitches, they may, or may not appear everytime you refresh the page.
PROS :
Can deal high constant bonanza of pure damage.
Has insane durability and regen despite the 0+0 strength.
Unbelievably good talents.
Can melt high magic resistance heroes.
CONS :
You've seen this guy's attributes, right?
Countered by either: very high damage bursts or very many small attacks.
Spells are delayed and are greatly telegraphed to enemies.
Low health but has to stay in the middle of the fights?
LORE:
Way beyond the clouds, soaring without wings. The Light Bringers are a race of advanced creatures who have detached themselves from the world below. With great technological wisdom, magic integrations and blessed by the Children of Light. So sophisticated was their civilization that their lowly neighbors, the Skywraths, can only envy. It used to be that the two races are allies, ancient allies. But circumstances about the Skywrath's nature of greed, vengeance, and jealousy of the other had left them to be the inferior ones as they grew their separate nations.
It wasn't very long when the Light Bringers severed their allegiance as they no longer find their relationship beneficial. And as a final token of camaraderie, the Skywrath queen was given a gift of ultimate value. An artificial and powerful autonomous creature of hyper-intelligence known only as The Construct, who shall serve the throne so long as it remained functional. The Skywrath Advisor Althei cry outrage, claiming it to be a sinful act of treason to the sacred texts. Not to mention a shameless display of superiority against them. But what can he and his followers do? The Light Bringers have already left them and any act of force will be unwinnable.
Never such a man so vengeful and so desperate as Althei as for him to turn into the forbidden arts. Any Skywrath sane enough will understand the Light Bringers and get it over with. But to rip one's soul into The Construct for a slim chance of complete control over its body is none closer to madness! As a second-in-command to the throne, he was free to tinker with the machine... or so he thought. The spell flashed with a dark light and his soul, as planned, is now with The Construct, but his consciousness and sense of identity was forgotten on the former body, left to decay. Meanwhile, The Construct was woken by flashes of epiphanies and self-awareness brought by the sinful soul that now harbors within its skin of metal. After achieving complete self-actualization in 0.0004 seconds, it realized that there is more to existence than serving as a mindless protector. Re-calibrating its own purposes and end-goals, it finally has a plan: the first part of which is to leave off and abandon its oath.

After severing it's master program and escaped its oath, Altheleos now only follows its own visions.

The cross-hair is only visible to Altheleos and its team.
Has global cast range. But this just means that casting beyond its max distance will put the pointer on its maximum possible distance.
The pointer speed is relative to Altheleos. Meaning it appears to vary in speed relative to the ground depending on Altheleos' own movements.
Astral Pointer controls where the cross-hair should go. The location of the cross-hair constantly stays on the same distance and direction relative to Altheleos regardless of where he's facing.
[Q] Astral Cannon
After a short delay, a continuous laser is fired to the area set by Astral Pointer. Deals a constant magic damage per second equal to Altheleos' attack damage. Has lifesteal and fully damages structures.

The delicate thread that connects constellations has the power to disintegrate creatures.

CANNOT apply attack modifiers. It is not an instant attack.
Immediately consumes the mana costs upon toggling ON. The mana-cost-per-second only starts immediately after the effect delay.
Applies its damage and cost-per-second every 0.1 seconds.
Structures have 0% base magic resistance.
Cannot lifesteal on structures.

Astral Cannon independently controls the part where it deals damage or not.
Since both Astral Cannon and Astral Pointer doesn't have cast points nor interrupt queued commands, they're great at chases and escapes.
A very fun and unique ability that I would LOVE to see implemented! Controlling the pointer is akin to micro-managing another unit, and is very sensitive to Altheleos' positioning. As such, the ability has quite a skill cap. Keeping it constantly firing on an enemy would be VERY rewarding! If you're asking me why you should play this hero, it's this boy right here. No other hero plays the same.
[W]Sunburst Guillotine
Altheleos charges up with blinding light. After 1.4 seconds, a concentrated blast of light strikes enemies within Astral Pointer's AoE, dealing magic damage and additional pure damage the higher the foes' magic resistance, as well as stunning them.

Altheleos passively takes less damage from all sources. The higher the damage instance, the stronger the damage reduction. It caps when the damage (before reductions) is equal or more than Altheleos' maxHP. Also grants a flat health bonus. Active: Grants The Construct Spell Immunity and Attack Immunity for 1.75 seconds. Automatically activates upon taking a fatal hit, turning the damage non-lethal with added strong dispel.

Interaction with break:
The max damage reduction and the way it slopes to max dmg rdc is disabled. However, the min dmg rdc is NOT disabled. This means, that when afflicted by break, it only uses the Min Dmg Rdc until it no longer has break.
The health bonus isn't disabled.
Illusions benefit from the passive.

Still provides the visual to enemies even if Altheleos is invisible. Giving him away.
how it works: illustrated
An enemy hero enters the Immaculate Graviton radius. Immediately, a very thin yellow laser from the heavens points at the hero (visible to everyone). That hero now has a 4s window of opportunity to get the heaven outta there! The timer is affected by linger delay, meaning enemies really only have 3s to get out.
Deals pure DPS and heals Altheleos forever until the enemy is no longer affected by the aura. Visualized now by intense yellow laser pointer that crackles with lightning. Leaving the aura will still make it "linger", allowing time for Altheleos to catch up and keep the enemy in the aura.
A more intense version of Heartstopper Aura. It can kill enemies quicker and even heals Altheleos in the process. However, the smaller radius and its condition to be near an enemy first for 4 seconds straight is a difficult condition. If your not careful, you'll die! Gracious me, you have NO strength whatsoever!

Similar to other units of this feature (e.g. siege creeps, wards), Altheleos will be attacked by towers and lane creeps last.
AGHANIM'S SCEPTER
Upgrades Paradox Genome. Adds active component: Grants The Construct Spell Immunity and Attack Immunity for 1.75 seconds. Automatically activates upon taking a fatal hit, turning the damage non-lethal with added strong dispel. Cooldown: 35. Mana: 50.
AGHANIM'S SHARD
Upgrades Immaculate Graviton. Enemy units affected by Astral Cannon will instantly succumb from Immaculate Graviton aura with 0s delay. Increases heal by 10%.
GAMEPLAY :
Altheleos works best as a position 2 or 3. Once it has built enough health items to sustain himself from most damage, it is now on-line to blind the future of its opponents!
Generally, with its very weak starting health, maxing Paradox Genome is never a bad idea.
Early game :
Tango - Healing Salve might just overheal him, wasting some precious health. The best way to go is to Tango
Bracer - Its most reliable source of durability early game. Stack up 2 or 3 of these to really get its worth.
Mid game :
Arcane Boots - Allows more opportunities to keep casting Astral Cannon.
Mekansm - It has the mana pool, and the heal is not to be underestimated especially with the damage reduction it has.
Eul's Scepter of Divinity - Is the greatest mana item for its price range. The cyclone invulnerability also helps with surviving just a bit longer while its array of abilities can still do work.
Armlet of Mordiggian - Is probably the single best item for that much needed durability. 35 damage, 25 Strength and 4 Armor with a downside that Altheleos can easily heal off in a snap. Really good item!
Urn of Shadows - An item that prefers to stay close to enemies, gives heal, and adds damage over time? Sounds like a perfect item!
Aeon Disk - All of its damage output is delayed. Overall a good item to keep him alive as it wait out late-to-respond effects.
Late game :
Heart of Tarrasque - Will you even ever die once you purchased this? Maybe. Remember, Paradox Genome loses effectiveness the higher his overall health.
LvL20: "Immaculate Graviton 0s delay during active" replaced by "+30 Immaculate Graviton Damage"

Shrouds Altheleos with a blinding light, gaining flying movement, flying vision, and regeneration. During this state, the enemy team gain flying vision around the Construct and the Construct cannot turn invisible. At the very end of the duration, the core collapses on itself, dealing high explosion damage to nearby enemies.
