I was playing Tiny tonight with a Bane laning with me. Tiny has great damage so is easy to last hit with, but I was having big problems with the Axe + Sand King enemy lane. Axe would Battle Hunger me, which does stupid damage once it's leveled a bit. When I'd go for the last hit, the Sand King would Burrowstrike me and then Axe would use his taunt and basically disable me again. The Bane was having mana problems, so was of limited help. Their strategy was wrecking me (and they had an Invoker who would sunstrike just for good measure. The enemy Nature's Prophet ulted once during the chase as well). It was infuriating.

How would you suggest dealing with this? I tried building a wand to help against the Battle Hunger spam (the Axe had a Soul Ring, so could cast it off cooldown). But it didn't really do much.

You can't with that line-up.Tiny is extremly fragile early, because he has no armor.

The best thing you can do is request cover fire from bane and deny/last hit a creep.

It sounds like they had a really well coordinated team, not much you could have done imo

Putting two rangers on that lane would've fixed this.

Ask your support to creep pull, I'm surprised nobody thought about this.

If you were playing in the hard lane though, the only thing you could have done was staying in the exp range and ask your support to harass; as soon as the creep wave went under your tower you would have had time to get a few last hits. But still, don't play carries like Tiny in the hard lane unless you wanted to play him with the oldschool Arcane + Blink build.

Yeah, Battle Hunger can do a lot of damage, or be completely useless if you can get a creep kill quickly (I think denies count as well). It's a shame Bane was your ally, cos although he's very strong and hits hard, he hasn't got the range to safely harass them away. They're also both quite mana dependent, so it's a shame your ally wasn't doing more to spoil their clarities.

Get bane to sort his mana issues out and spam nightmare on one of them.
I'm a big believer in rushing a soul ring on bane as his first item.
Honestly, rotating lanes would've been your best bet. Bane can shut down most heroes but it's simply a matter of surviving the lane until you guys get ultis. Unfortunatley, while bane is happy to run around with just his soul ring killing everyone, I assume tiny is a little different (never played him sorry)
If you see Axe, stack up your regen. Get through the early laning phase and you'll be sitting better quickly. IMO Axe drops off fairly quickly and SK burns through a lot of mana as well.

A different lane partner would of been nicer like Venomancer, just so you can get a kill at level 3 or tri-lane it with a Keeper of the Light.

Nightmare > Illuminate > Brain Sap and Avatoss, should be a dead Axe or Sand King or both! All Tiny has to do is be at least level 2 and have at least 240 mana points saved up.

Your lane's power to harass is also a lot stronger since Bane can spam Brain Sap with unlimited Chakra Magics.

To answer your question though, a Tranquil Boot will help ease the harassment and you definitely needed Bane to stack and pull. Even if Axe and/or Sand King goes to intercept, Tiny will have a bit of room to farm.

When you're having a tough time in lane, leave or get a rotation. No better option exists.
