Tide farming ancient

What levels tide need to farm ancient (2 or more stacks) , and what items he need ?

It's either two in Kraken Shell and four in Anchor Smash, or the other way around? I can't remember which, but I imagine the former. And he doesn't really need any items, because the point is between his two skills, ancients deal almost no damage to him.

I think he can do it with a 3/3 split as well, but he can't do it much earlier without help.

Former one. He used to do it pretty early, but the nerf on him did hurt his jungling abilities, although that he is still a pretty solid jungler. You should get it by level 8 if you put a point in your ult and your Q (which you should 90% of the time). People keep telling that it is his comeback mechanic, but you still need to reach those levels (people don't get that too). If you do well in your lane you'll have a really good time hitting those ancients, if not, you'll most likely go to normal jungle and reach those levels.

You kinda need arcane boots too, although it's not needed that much, but you'll pretty much have no mana left after those usually. With a level 4 Anchor Smash you you'll receive no damage, the only one who actually does hurt you I believe is the big rocky golem, but that is it.

Remember your Stout Shield. With that, 2 in Kraken Shell and 3 in Anchor Smash those pesky ancients wont touch you! Get your mid/support to get a good 3/4 stacks in them. ez gold. The support can even hang around to leach xp, it's the $$$ you want anyway.

No, never EVER EVER ge stout. Level 1 kraken shell is almost as good and level 2 kraken makes stout useless as you cant get 2 blocks at the same time, and kraken works 100% of the time.

Just get 8 tango's and a salve as starting items and trade hits with supports. Unless you are up against a zoning skywrath or silencer you should be fine.

Am i working on an older patch? At level 1 it is very useful. If you know your lane is going to be awful i think it is worth getting. At level 2 both block 20, so it seems pointless... ... I may have been doing this out of habit.

Ring of Protection, 'nuff said. Does the same job, but doesn't become useless when you skill your passive. And RoP builds into tranquils which are great if your lane sucks.

Yea it used to be less i believe, so it was more usefull in the beginning, now its just a waste.

Ring of protection is ok. Personally i just prefer the Xiao8 build and trade hits with supports and bully myself in lane since the thing is so damn expensive for a starting item now.

• Stout Shield has a 53% chance to block 20 Damage, blocking 10.6 Damage on average
• lvl1 Kraken Shell guarantees 10 Damage is blocked every attack
• lvl1 Kraken Shell + Stout Shield blocks on average (20 * 53 / 100) + (10 * 47 / 100) == 15.3 Damage on average

So by the time you hit lvl2 and take that 1st point in Kraken Shell, you've already more than halved Stout Shield's effectiveness.
