This hero is actually rly good if you go for real items instead of BoT-Manta ricing ********.

Besides bots manta isn't even a ricing build since the farm rate is super meh. Upgrading yasha into manta gives pretty much zero farm speed since the only thing that limits you from Naga'ing the entire map is lack of mana and AGI. BoTs isn't that good for farming either compared to the same amount of money in AGI items or a faster skadi.
It's only good for mega ratting towers early. Some people just get off on it. Which I very much understand and share btw.

If I wanted to rat towers early I'd just pick Arc Warden or Morphling. As much as I like to rat and AFK farm myself, playing this hero as an AFK rat when you can finish the game with Drum-Yasha-BKB is just handicapping yourself IMO.

True, I never build this on TB and I tend to favor either the Matrice style full stat build where you stack Wraith Bands or the fighting build like you said.

You have to admit though, TB is the fastest early pusher in the game, bar none. For example Morphling is a great late game rat but he can't push for jack 15 minutes into the game because he hits like a wet noodle. While TB can literally rat high ground at the 15 min mark.

It's not about AFK ratting, it's about space creation early ratting.

Sure he is, so why would you play him like a rat instead of pushing after a won skirmish like you do with all other early pushers? Well, except for the fact that he is so easy to focus down which is why you get stuff like Drums. But if you manage to win a teamfight, enemies can kiss goodbye to their T1 and T2 in that lane, sometimes even T3.

With his Metamorphosis rework into an aura he's not even that good of a rat anymore - you can't just cast 2 illusions and leave if you are afraid of a gank, you'll either have to man up and risk your life(of all potentially "ratty" heroes Terrorblade is probably the easiest to gank) or leave 2 melee illusions with no dmg bonus and 75% damage output... what did you say about Morph hitting like a wet noodle?

If you're winning the game isn't on you anyways, you can pretty much go blink armlet dagon and still win. What's important is how to play from behind. And in that case there's no way TB can join teamfights unless it's high ground defense.

TB is essentially the only carry that pushes fast enough to trade buildings against deathball lineups in the early-mid game. While for example Morph's only chance against deathball is to rush eblade to defend high ground.

When that happens, I just try to farm items as safely as possible up until BKB where I can turn the game around essentially by myself as long as there are allies to be my meat shield. If you try to rat when your team feeds, chances are, you are going to feed too because your enemies have huge map control advantage and you are extremely easy to kill.

With TB it just takes one won skirmish mid-late game for your enemies to either lose their rax or waste a lot of momentum due to massive buybacks - and both are horrible.

Well, they're not exactly proposing a stupid build in its place. Fighting TB is legit as ****, I just prefer ratting.
