So what is the deal with Abaddon?borrowed time look less like a cheat death and more.like heal.me if you hit me.

How about we attempt to reinvent borrowed time?
Here is mine!
Borrowed time is an instant cast ability that allows Abaddon to come back to the previous HP state 4/5/6 seconds , before casting the ability.
I know it sounds like time walk, but you can cast it while being stunned. And here is the kicker
Borrowed time allows Abaddon to cheat death when it is off cool down and returns him to 4/5/6 seconds previous to his state and allowing him to steal 15/25/35% current HP from his attempting killer.
Looks like borrowed isn't it?.....
Now how about his aghs upgrade?
Casting borrowed time allows Abaddon to heal back 50% of the damage done to his allies 5/6/7 seconds back. Range:900

This abaddon is neither hard support nor a core. He can be considered a late 3rd core that promotes skirmishes and becomes more of a skirmish instigator. He becomes a baller without his aphotic should. He is the one that blurs the line of a lane support and core.
Tanky, making the foe think twice about the strats they will use. He is truly a death cheater

So how is this rendition? How would you change borrowed time than it already is? How to make him proactive? Do you have ideas on how he is like he is?
- When Abaddon reaches 0 HP, the mists of the font invigorate him and keep him alive for another 6/8/10 seconds. During this time, the movement slow and attack speed values of Curse of Avernus are doubled, and each time Abaddon takes an instance of damage his movement speed is increased by 5. Abaddon regains 200 HP per hero he kills during Borrowed Time: if he does not kill a hero, he dies regardless of any healing abilities used on him during the duration.
New cooldown scaling 100/90/80. Aghanim's Scepter drops this cooldown to 60 at all levels and also gives Abaddon +5 damage for every instance of damage he takes during the duration of Borrowed Time (over a threshold of, say, 40, so stuff like Ion Shell doesn't give him a Divine's worth of damage.)
Lo and behold, the lord of death, now a pub stomping hero that people will insist on play as a carr... oh. Right.
Meanwhile, i am quietly nudging people into posting PA reworks.

Simply giving him a little boost so he's not so completely useless in ganking will fix it. Make Mist Coil apply the Curse of Avernus debuff, and that's probably enough. Combine with an OoV and you've got a very potent roamer on your hands, which honestly sounds like a better way of playing than just babysitting your carry all early-game. He's the more aggressive version of Omniknight, he should really play like it.
Theae are not posted so as to be actualized in the game as of now. These are ideas That i have in my repository; that somehow make sense and i keep on the lookout for implementing, provided the meta shifts commensurately.
There is nothing wrong with having an OoV on abaddon even now. Having mist coil apply the curse debuff is too strong. Trust me. We can negotiate on half values altho.
Talking about mist coil, dont you think the ability is underwhelming in terms of spam/ mana cost?
I think so, i need to understand the possible repercussions or benefits to the hero.
There is a lot of dynamism in the ability and it should be explored, even if not implementable in game

Take a mix and mash of all his previous abilities (I think he has like 10 abilities that he doesn't currently own).
You could do so much with the morph theme.
Early game potential and physical resistance thanks to Blur, but one heavy nuker and she falls apart. Unless you rush BKB, in which case you have no damage.
Speaking of damage... completely RNG focused.
I suggested a rework a while back that involved making Blur an active that dodged skills, and having her crits reset her ability cooldowns... she'd become a high-skill hero with that, her defenses entirely focused on hitting people to reset Blur to dodge more stuff. Still as all-in as now, but less easily shut down and considerably more interesting to play.
There will be a PA picked and she will bring them to knees
Hopefully it happens, and with the new variant from the Void build :P

Does that even need an explanation? Worst hero concept ever. See, there are badly made dota heroes, but this guy isn't even a dota hero. Should be #1 on your list.
Bounty Hunter
Lame roamer and walking ward. Bounty doesn't play dota, he completely relies on his team to do that. The hero does nothing. He just gives vision and spams track.
If playing Sniper is like playing a ranged creep, playing Bounty is like playing an Observer Ward.
Make Bounty do something. Anything. At least give him an aghs that does something.*
And for God's sake do something about that 4 man mid meta.
Phantom Assassin
More like MMR assassin right now. You tried to buff her in 6.87 but you made her dog**** instead. Rework Blur to be like old Void's backtrack. Give her ult the active ability to refresh her Q and W. And make a ******* damage item in this game that isn't rapier...either that or make her crit stack perfectly with daedalus.
Silencer
Arcane Curse needs some reworking. So does Last Word. His ult is good, his W is good, but his other skills are pretty much useless. The new curse is far worse than the old one, the old one was a harass skill in lane, the new one is just bad. Support Silencer died that day. At least reduce the mana cost.
Alchemist
Greevil's Greed could use some fiddling around. Acid Spray too.
Techies, Is*best dota hero ever*
Abaddon calls upon the mist shield him. He becomes untargetable and unkillable. The mist covers X aoe around Abaddon. The mist draws power from the enemies and weakens them. They are slowed and their vision is reduced. Abaddon is healed for every enemy hero in the mist (or for a % of the damage dealt to enemies).
That sounds ******edly overpowered and in no way related to the concept around borrowed time. T.T
Still thinking on my own ideas for borrowed time. This idea is good though.
Lets just say that abddon stands in full view but you cant mpuse over to him or issue interacrion commands with him.
Sounds cool, but again, it has feel of shadow dance yeah.

Skill cap adjustment or mechanics adjustment. Which is the way to go?
Honestly, I think the hero is in a good spot and just doesn't fit in with the current meta: Tera was right when he talked about giving him a boost to improve his ganking ablity. Currently, his only CC is melee range, and this on a hero who really doesn't want to waste gold on Shadow Blade or Blink Dagger. Maybe if the slow was increased even more, getting a Blink would be worth the price of admission?
That said, I don't know if the hero NEEDS to be a ganker: increasing his defensive capabilities could do nicely. Perhaps increase the heal/damage values of Mist Coil, or split them and buff one and leave the other where it is? Make the cast range of Aphotic Shield longer so it's slightly more forgiving of positioning? Heck, the real buff I want is for Aphotic Shield to hit nearby enemies in fog of war: it makes NO SENSE that it doesn't do this, it's a freaking explosion. XD.
But yeah, I still owe you a re-work of Borrowed Time. Lemme work on that.
