Limited Hero Adventures: Spooky Sven and the Cult of Madness!

To spice up my dota life, I decided to do something I hadn't done in awhile: Limited Heroes. So I picked
Wraith King and naturally there's a
Sniper on the enemy team, thus began my quest to farm the almighty
Blink Dagger. My quest begins like any other, I got my basic regen items and my trusty
Quelling Blade before departing for the safe lane. But things began to get... spooky, at this point. The
Sven on our disconnected from the game and yet... he kept moving around
as if he was still in the game!
Little did I know that this was only a sign of things to come, and before I knew it, I was thrust into a solo-lane when the spooky
Sven decided to go form a tri-lane with
Vengeful Spirit and
Zeus. "No problem" I though to myself, I didn't protest this impromptu tri-lane, knowing I would be able to get quick levels and maybe complete my
Blink Dagger quest! Little did I know that there was a
Witch Doctor and a
Viper in my lane, and all of a sudden I began to regret my decision of buying a
Quelling Blade when a
Stout Shield would've far more practical in combating lane harassers.
After shrugging off the poorly-coordinated attempts on my life,
Vengeful Spirit clearly got spooked out by
Sven and joined me in the safe-lane. Long story short,
Viper died. No longer under the shadow of harassment, I resumed my quest for a
Blink Dagger! Upon maxing out
Wraithfire Blast and getting a point into vampiric aura, my quest led me in a jungle. I arrived in the jungle and began to clear neutral camp upon neutral camp until I saw my ally
Zeus! However, when I got closer, I noticed something wasn't right... the only items he had were an empty
Bottle and... a
Mask of Madness! He began attacking the neutrals! The mask clearly made him believe he was a right-click carry (when in reality that was my job!).
After shaking off the mad
Zeus, I finally obtained the mysterious
Blink Dagger! It was time for me to vanquish the dreaded
Sniper!
Sniper was busy engaging the spooky
Sven and
Drow Ranger at our tier 2 mid tower. I loitered around the jungle entrance and waited for
Sniper to get out of position. Finally, I blinked onto him, stunning him with
Wraithfire Blast and finished him off before he had a chance to pull out his vile
Shadow Blade!
Sven and
Drow Ranger showed remarkable cooperation in helping me defeat the Dark Scrub Lord, but at the same time... I noticed that
Drow Ranger was wearing the
Mask of Madness that
Zeus was wearing earlier! Using my
Blink Dagger, I escaped into the jungle, before the spooky
Sven and his mad minions could follow me. I resumed jungling, needing farm to fill all six of my slots before the spooky
Sven could put a
Mask of Madness on me as well. So, I decided to build a
Refresher Orb (and not just because I wasn't taking this match seriously). Quickly, I obtained a
Perseverance, a
Sage's Mask and a
Quarterstaff. But just as I bought the
Robe of the Magi, an
Oblivion Staff apppeared in my inventory, leaving a slot open.
To make matters worse,
Vengeful Spirit was right behind me in the side shop... with not just the
Mask of Madness, but the
Shadow Blade wielded by the Dark Scrub Lord
Sniper himself! As I fled into jungle,
Zeus was there with a
Maelstrom demanding to know "Wk y r u not sticking with us?" It was clear he was trying to assimilate me into spooky
Sven's cult of madness, with the insane agenda of winning before the 45 minute mark.
I didn't want to know what would happen, quickly, I farmed a
Skull Basher, grabbed
Dust of Appearance to stop the
Shadow Blade of the Dark Scrub Lord. Before I needed an
Assault Cuirass, we were victorious! But despite the victory,
Drow Ranger,
Zeus and
Vengeful Spirit demanded I be "reported" for refusing to partake in their evil cult.
I quickly disconnected, relieved to know that I was out of the grasp of Spooky
Sven and his cult of madness. I am writing here to warn you all to be wary of the
Mask of Madness and the Spooky
Sven that is sure to follow!
Don't believe me? Have a look at this then!
