The mmr I first got was 1.999 i played like 15 games and up it to 2200. This is just not enjoyable, do I mostly play with scrubs against scrubs or do I pub and get a decent/ok team.
Hamstertamer told us a lot of things about mmr, and I think I'll have to agree with him.
Edit: you always play with/against that guy who doesnt belong there, like me, well I think. But when we see each other we understand both the pain.
now when i play 1v1 im in very high skill (so 4k+)
when i play pubs im in high or normal (3k+)
and ranked is normal.(2k+) or when i play with friends (high or very high)
i play a lot with some 4k to 5k players in ranked. and apart from decision making i hold my own in their tier. so i feel my MMR is not something that is accurate to any degree.
if they installed a "recalibration mechanic"
where after 500 games from ur first calibration u were allowed to recalibrate i feel MMR would be more accurate. since as you progress in skill and games u can also recalibrate.
ON TOPIC:
honestly it was this site as well as finding a whole bunch of blokes online to play with :)
believe it or not boyz, i started with 1.3K mmr. i grinded it upto 3K after i was made fun of by my friends (disabled recording history and turned on tryhard mode) then when into a tumbledown, losing 500 in 2 days (yeah).

Im ALWAYS on normal skills. Not even high skills once. Although that my teammates are now better than
before, I think Im not even close to someone who's like 3.5 which is my skill bracket. I need to stack with my friends that are really skilled to play against a team that somewhat knows what they're doing.
Hey btw smug', if you wanna hit me up one day I won't decline it. I appreciate your thoughts, and I think you're a great guy:D

I know that feeling bro.
from 1.5k and suddenly jumped to 3.2K. And now 2.9k cause trolling the game seems fun ._.
Don't worry about your MMR and just improve, it really is just a number to an extent. People also like to compare their MMR to others but I suggest ignoring it to focus on improving. If anything make a MMR goal to reach, then maintain; rinse and repeat. Get a replay, watch your replay and maybe send a replay to a higher MMR player for some tips. Practice certain heroes, don't pick "OP" heroes just to artificially increase MMR, it's similar to those muscle-heads that are into juicing.
