Hey everyone :)
I'm relatively new to Dota, and only have decent knowledge of items and hero abilities/builds/counters.
For my first couple of days, I played Lich exclusively (because apparently he's one of the low-skill/'noob' heroes), but not to much success. I've been practicing with bots a lot lately, to see what else can I do to better my game. I decided to try out different heroes and playstyles, and one hero that I found quite interesting was Faceless Void.
I'm not THAT good at gauging what build my opponent would run, and combined with the (often contradicting) info about Void builds that Ive seen in numerous guides, I have created one universal build that I always run (pretty sure not a good idea)-

Skills-
Max Backtrack first, max Time Lock second, max Time Walk third, get Ultimate at 6,11,16

Items-
I haven't really separated these into Starting/Core/Situational/etc., but this is generally what I aim for by late game-

Power Treads
BKB
Butterfly
Battlefury
MoM
Maelstrom
The idea is that BFury+MoM+Maelstrom allows me to quickly take out multiple targets once they are caught in Chronosphere. I'm not always able to complete this, but I was just wondering if this will work or not.

Any help is appreciated.

this is the cookie cutter.

but i the skill-build you are talking about is...kinda lame.It lets you do nothing effectively till level 11.

I would explain furthur but im too lazy.If you can go through some of the guides on dotofire, i think it will help you a lot.

Yeah, this works. It's maybe a bit overkill to get both Battle Fury and Maelstrom (typically you only want one not both) but otherwise it's fine. You forgot Daedalus, it's an absolute must on Void, he needs all the damage he can get.

Just...don't max backtrack. Seriously, it's like the most ***** build I've ever seen xD
Max Time Lock because that's where your damage comes from (bash procs deal double damage in chrono). Get one value point in backtrack for the 10% but more doesn't accomplish anything. Like go 2/1/4/1 or something along those lines.

yes void is good in the lategame, but that doesnt mean you should buy a battle fury and be useless for 25 minutes, he has great early potential with chrono and time lock, and to make the most out of it you get attackspeed.
he does farm slowly, but to hit 2 birds with one stone you get maelstrom. pair that with mask of madness and you can find early kills as well as fight alongside your team. mjollnir outclasses battlefury on void since it gives attack speed as well as damage by proccing more time locks, which do double damage inside chronosphere.

like the others said, keep backtrack at lvl 1 early, and max time lock instead to get the maximum damage. farm when chrono is down, and fight when it is up and can catch someone out.
just make sure you dont catch your teammates, since it can be used as a setup spell for both your team and your opponents.

You should go Time Walk at 1, Time Lock 2 and 3, backtrack at 4 (swap around with Time Lock if the aggression in the lane is really high - just that one value point) and then max Time Lock while getting ult as well.
