Poll Question:

How much do you hate techies?
Like black cancerous tar in your eyes
Like being kicked in the balls with steel boots
Like being slowly digested in a pit of acid
Like watching Michael Bay films 24/7 for the rest of your life

Actually, Lycan is really easy to kite. Perhaps not early-game, but once force staves and ghost sceptres come out he's almost as kiteable as Lifestealer and doesn't do nearly as much hero damage.

But on topic, Techies are like that horrible little child next door who make you wonder whether the theory of human devolution has it right. Anybody who picks Techies immediately turns from 'maybe a nice guy' to an ******* in about 1:30 or a bit more if they're slow with mines. Techies create boring, long, unentertaining games and actually encourage rat dota.

Idk what Icefrog was thinking when he birthed those abortive little squatting *****.

Actually techies encourage 5 man dota. Don't know how many times I have punished split pushers with my Ulty mines up higher in the lane. Have made many NPs, PL, and SBs threaten my unborn child cause I killed them from half way across the map with mine detonation.

You sir, deserve a +rep. There you go.

Theoretically Techies should be good against split push...unfortunately...what do pretty much all decent split pushers build? Necronomicon...

And yes techies is the guy that unifies my philosophy. He brings player mentality, an aspect forgotten into gameplays. He actually does what he is supposed to di. He is the backup the one who relies on the other making mistakes. No one is perfect, and he reminds you that.

I mean your whole arguement, at its core, revolves on how he is different from conventional heroes. He has bad base damg, and no lane presence except leaching but You need to draft around him. Yes even a carry need be drafted around him

Wanna build Necronomicons against him? Sure do that and shut him down, but a good techies will build his own necrobook and start pushing lanes instead of AFK mines. Just because you dont see it doent mean it wont happen. He is the ying of dota., the brains. What he lacks in power he fulfills in brains. So a cerebral. Player compliments him the best.

I saw someone commented how he is more like a chess player.
Unfortunately sando, you took him too literally.
Its not where he mines or he mines differently, its *how* he mines, *when* he mines, *how many* mines he allows the enemy to see and the *ratio* of offensive to defensive mining. After that long drawn out game what you chose to build and if you ever provided for a base race are important points to techies.

A great techies may know where to mine and howto be different but a master techies will win you the game.

You just cant blame techies as a hero for the incompetence of players who play him.
Just because there arent skilled players at techies doesn't mean he is a ****ty hero.

Your role changes from suicider to miner to pusher to chaos creator to utility carrier, all in one game.

If you cant adapt, you dont deserve to survive.

Yay Kyfoid!

Techies is more mind games than anything else.

It's actually hard to play techies well and not have anyone swear at you...
