So, I am not usually a carry person, but recently I have been wanting to try new things and new heroes, and as you can probably tell by the title I was wondering if some people could give me some tips on Naga Siren.
First off, I like her spells/skills, especially the ultimate, which is usually the reason I decide to start playing a hero.
I've seen lots of people going for Radiance rush, is this something I should try doing often on a Naga Siren?
Basically any other tips, aka what items to build, what skills to max first, would be pretty useful. I would like to eventually find a carry I am comfortable playing.
She's a 100% pushing/rat hero. More than anti-mage, even more than Furion. She kills creeps and towers, that's all she does.
Split your illusions and send them to clear enemy creep waves. The illusions do most of the work, the main hero hardly does anything. Radiance burn + Rip Tide = ez creeps.
Since the enemy team has no creeps, they can't push in, and you can get free towers.
Always max Rip Tide first, and then max Ensnare second if you want to get kills in lane (recommended) or max Mirror Image second if you want to AFK farm (makes your supports angry).
Whatever item you want. If you have enough free gold to be six slotted as a Radiance Naga then you should either be close to victory or something has gone very very wrong.
Pretty much what Hamstertamer said, you ideally want your Radiance before 20:00, or 15:00 if you have Free Farm and a couple of Kills/Assists.
You also need to learn to Micro your Illusions as once you have your Radiance, 1 Illusion per Jungle Camp (+ 1 for the Creep Wave) is enough. You shouldn't wait for Radiance to start Jungling though, you can send 2 Illusions to each Camp and use Rip Tide to clear tehm early on, although you'll want a few points in Mirror Image to do this.
You should never be going near the Towers by yourself unless you're confident you can't get Picked off, just keep sending 1 Illusion to Clear the Creep Wave and Attack the Tower if it lives long enough. Alternate between Lanes, so they all get Pushed out and you end up moving the other Team around.
I suggest you always have illusions with you. If your illusion skill is on cooldown, use your manta.
This also trains you for radiance coz ratting needs a lot of micro.
Closing words:
Agi build- 5 man dota
Radiance build: Queen of rats.
Dude, I always suck as naga and randomed her just before.
I came to this post and saw your build which I aspired to do.
Our necro was just feeding and score was eventually 10-0 with various team mates calling GG already.
I asked them to just hold out (and they just did) till I got radiance. Was able to then make some space, went straight into BoT, started pushing towers, then heart > butterfly. Needless to say we mopped them in the end.
Can I have some tips on what to do early game? I always die once then I go to farm which delays my items :(
I always suck at her too, too hard to play but I want to haha xD
