I understand that you've discouraged buying items that one will need to sell in the long run, but early game stats are essential, you shouldn't just start on your core items from the start. ASB early Poor Man's Shield and Ring of Aquila are amazing for essential early game stats, solving most of your problems. You'll obviously have to sell them eventually, but they're amazing if bought within 6 minutes.

Also, I believe Yasha should be core on Phantom Lancer because it is simply so good on a hero like him. You can get it after the Diffusal or before it, it depends on your preference, I get the Yasha before. Yasha can later be built into Sange and Yasha or Manta Style, both of which are amazing for Phantom Lancer. An interesting fact about Yasha is that the illusions also benefil from its 15 attack speed. I know it's hard to accept, but Yasha provides 31 attack speed to both, the real Phantom Lancer, and his illusions. Core item, right?

Lastly, why have you added Monkey King Bar as a compulsory late game item? It should be situational at most, when there are enemy heroes with evasion. Butterfly is the best hard carry agility item. Why not get that? It gives 60 damage and 60 attack speed and even 35% evasion. Essential for any hard carry. Monkey King Bar should be situational. Essentially, you also never need a Heaven's Halberd either because of Butterfly.

P.S. Please remove Blade Mail from the build, never get it on Phantom Lancer.

I don't understand why you've discouraged damage block items. An early game Poor Man's Shield is immensely helpful, as you always block 20 damage from enemy heroes. So, most heroes will have around 60 damage at this point and you will always block 1/3 of it.

Moreover, telling to not get another Unique Attack Modifier is stupidity. You can change item preference in such a way that your illusions burn mana from Diffusal Blade and the real hero uses another UAM such as Cold Attack of Eye of Skadi.

If you want, check my guide to the reworked Phantom Lancer:

Hey oaj99

I did not include a poor mans shield or any other item which blocks damage simply because it does not work on you images although PL could use it early on I still feel picking up the other items instead will help you farm faster and carry faster.

I actually said dont get any other UAM because only feedback works for images but now that you tell me the hero can use a different UAM and the the images can use the other, i have to try this asap!!!!

Thank you for your guidance.

First of all, read the formatting guide. Your current guide is a wall of text and could look much better. Second, Vladimir's offering should be considered a situational item at best and should only be purchased if your team lineup is mainly melee oriented. Third of all, add Butterfly as an item as I would generally recommend picking it up over a Daedalus in most situations unless the enemy team has mkb. Aside from that, good guide.

Thanks a lot this was my first guide yes i will go through the formatting guide thoroughly and re do this.

I am thinking, why Daedalus?? Obviously Phantom Lancer is a Radiance hero. Other items are good, but I think you should remove Daedalus. I think a Power Treads >> Diffusal Blade >> Radiance >> Manta Style / Butterfly >> Heart of Tarrasque >> Eye of Skadi / Cheese?? would be great instead of Daedalus. And read formatting guide!! XD

You did not just recommend a vlads, it is basically **** on PL. Why?
1. Armor aura doesn't effect illus
2. Damage aura also the same as no.1
3. Lifesteal aura is also the same as no.1
