Do we really need to give people another excuse to play pubstomping Phantom Assassin? I really, really, don't want to have EVERY GAME UNTIL DEC. 7TH HAVE PA IN IT. I want to get the rewards, but is that really worth it? Also, at least one person has to have the Arcana. That's really stupid. C'mon Valve, pressuring people to buy your 30$ item? That is the most greedy marketing... Wish it was Diretide instead. Crying right now. Playing 1k MMR isnt much better, just have more people yelling at you for every little mistake.

I mean, they aren't really pressuring people into it, they are simply offering rewards if you do. I don't consider that pressure, I consider that incentive. And giving the customers an incentive to buy something beyond simply owning something is a great business strategy.

I personally don't mind PA as much as other pub-stomp Heroes, simply because he doesn't require me to buy all of the Invise detection by myself (Given I basically play every game as a 6 position support because nobody else will. Even people with support heroes can't seem to do it competently)

PA is op? PA can be countered so easily I rarely ever saw her picked untill the event. And because of the event they tend to do stupid rotations that you can easily punish.

Haven't seen PA? The 2nd most played hero, even before the event? Easily countered? Sorry, but I don't count a 5k MKB "easy". Also, even if it's not "pressure" having a whole event centered around having the arcana...

So what? Just because the event exists doesn't mean you have to actively take part in it, it can just be something you wind up being a part of due to others. It's not really pressure, because it's not applying anything negative to you if you don't take part.

Also isn't she kind of countered by magical burst and kiting due to being a squishy Melee hero?

Just get used to it, you can't restrict people from using PA, having a PA in a match and you may be rewarded so why not? It's thousands times better than having a Pudge with poor hook in your team that will makes you face-palm every time he tries to hook.

The real problem is where people pick PA and doesn't know how to farm with her, then keep going for ganking and doesn't bother to defend if there is a lane being pushed.

The problem is people go SUPER tryhard because of the event and go early 3-5 man ganks just to get 1 person and that is PA. Everyone just seems to give up after PA's killed.

Yesterday I was playing Sven as a contract. Saw my death imevitable so I just stand while low. Enemy toyed a bit and gave kill to PA and fed enemy team an ursa set

There are 2 skills in the game that Disable Evasion: Duel and Doom ( Doom] only disables it with Aghanim's Scepter.

Beyond that, Blind and Disarm are effective until she gets a Black King Bar, Evasion can force her to buy a Monkey King Bar.

Or better yet, just Stun her and Blast her down with a powerful Nuke like Mystic Flare, Finger of Death, etc.

Oracle Hard counter to PA.
