Boulder Smash was really awkward before 6.82...kind of like playing soccer, you needed to aim with exactly the right angle, and it was always a bit off. Now it's really easy, you just click where you want it to go.
Cheap doesn't mean easy to play btw. Void is cheap as hell but you still see LodA missing chronos. Cheap = do the same stuff again and again and it works.
Though previously using Geomagnetic Grip to stun then kick was WAYY easier for new players.

I was really used to the old system, I tend to **** up a lot with the new one. I was pretty accurate with it. And I never said cheap is easy to play, I meant that every hero that you know how to play seems cheap, just because you know what's up with him, and you can adapt.

Of course it was easy, it was OP as f*** xD
Now you can do it the other way, kick -> pull -> roll. Since the kick is easy to aim now I think it's the best way.
Now you just need to land the kick and your combo becomes reliable because of the stun, I think it's a pretty big buff actually.
Am I the only one who loves the new soccer mechanic? :)
I get that feeling XD after months of playing ES you still can't kick properly sometimes. The kick=stun patch though freaked me out a bit, I almost lost all hope on ES but still love that damned hero until now.
There are some difficult heroes in DotA 2, and then there's Earth Spirit and Meepo.
Personally, I love Earth Spirit. Lore wise, design, personality, and his gameplay is so different.
That's where the hard part begins.
I am not the greatest Kaolin around because I lack good Stone Remnant management and after the game I watch my replay and look at all those missed oportunities I had.
The hard part about Earth Spirit is time and map awareness. He has very **** progression into late game, but early on is a beast, unlike his brother spirits, Ember Spirit and Storm Spirit, who can catch up later; This and his lack of right clicks and little magic damage when everyone has more than 1500 HP just dooms him. Talking about map awareness, oportunities to save allies, kicking enemies, stunning, silencing the correct foes, it's just too much quick thinking, more than Invoker.
The other one is Meepo. Playing him makes you instantly be the captain of the team and responsible for it. Leaving Micro apart, which I'm terrible at, the catch with him is that he takes all of the team's EXP for him which makes him outlevel everyone pretty early, since basically 10 heroes are sharing the team's experience instead of 5. But leaving the team without much EXP while the other team can outlevel them. Many heroes can do well without gold, but not many without levels. Having this in mind, you have to be aware of this when someone picks Meepo in your team, you are forced to pick EXP independent heroes in order to be efective with his EXP point sap, since he is essentially 5 heroes together.
Earth Spirit was very unfun to play. Seriously, I had never hated the game more than when I tried him out.
However, I see that he's quite good in the right hands. I just guess that those hands aren't mine.
Well you get the hang of earth and invoker pretty easily.
Morph is not even worth mentioning.
Meepo is just tabbing, nothing special, although i have never been a micro guy, so to me , the one utilize 100% is chen, as unlike meepo, every extra unit he has ,has different abilities, whereas meepos share bind and poof.
