Rare question. How to play carry?

Another underfarmed Naga with a 38-minute Radiance :)

Okay, so Radiance is an item that should be rushed, either you rush it during the laning stage or you don't get it at all. Power Treads? Drum of Endurance? If you're going radiance you don't need that. Plain Boots of Speed into radiance rush is the only way honestly. Maybe you see people in competitive going for builds like drum into radiance but in pubs it's just not viable, you don't have enough farm for that. Either you rush radiance or you go drum/diffu/manta, it's really one or the other.

So you just sit in lane, do nothing but farm for 18 minutes, and then you have your radiance. It's really the only way. And I mean it, you *AFK* farm, your KDA should be 0/0/0 and you don't join a single fight, you don't even need to buy TP scrolls :)

You had terrible farm in lane. You missed last hits, and Keeper of the Light spamming Illuminate in lane and stealing your farm is one of the worst things that ever happened to DotA. When your farm is that bad just forget greedy builds like radiance and go diffu/manta. Radiance is before 20 minutes or not at all. On Naga you can get it a bit later like 25 mins but more than that just forget it.

Your GPM was bad because Naga can't farm without a farming item. And you need that farming item EARLY, ie before 20 minutes. So it's either go radiance rush and go farm, or go drum/diffu/manta and go fight early. Seeing how bad your early farm was it was a drum/diffu/manta game. For radiance, as a rule of thumb, you need 50 last hits at 10 minutes minimum (you were at 25).

Generally in pubs the best way of getting radiance on Naga is to go mid and last-hitting with Bottle and Rip Tide.

If you're having trouble with farming a radiance on Naga, you can try the much more forgiving Linken's Sphere rush build.

TLDR : never get a late farming item. Get your farming item early so you can actually farm with it, and if you can't afford a farming item then just don't buy one :)

So basically you farm the farming item to farm the creeps to get farmed to farm the heroes to farm their rock garden and gg

Plz never go linkens first on naga, the only time you should go it later in the game if you want to splitpush really balsy.

Rodents need to reach their ratting potential early for maximum squeakiness.
You need that Linkens when their Batrider gets Blink Dagger this way you can do a squeak party next to their T3 tower 20 mins into the game like you just don't care. Besides you have infinite mana to spam Rip Tide all day long in both lane and jungle so it increases your farm dramatically. Who needs Radiance burn when you have infinite Rip Tide spam?
With a linkens you can make space for yourself all game long.
