How do I escape 1.6k?

Okay, so when I start ranked I was at like 1.6 k. After 2 months of playing im finally... wait... still stuck.
Not to mention after 3 low priorities IN A ROW due to ******** blackout and my father (plz dont bring this up) i got reduced to 1.5.
So how do I escape this?

Play unranked untill you feel confident you can win.

Well, that MMR system i find is very accurate, so when you get to a stage where everyone is your skill level, you will go 50/50 and stay stuck there, until you improve, so the idea is just play games outsied of ranked until you feel that you have gotten better, then go back and because eveyone is below your skill level you will progess again until everyone is equal and the cycle starts all over.

The thing i feared in unranked is that people will go selfish. No support, 5 carry, no cour, no ward.

What often makes me lose is the teammates. I once got a captain that goes 5 carry and says "have fun first".
********. You dont have fun in ranked.

People also often dont communicate, making captains mode ********, or just cant play as a team.

After 2 months, I got WAY better and most matches is just WIN-LOSE-WIN-LOSE or WIN-WIN-LOSE-LOSE

Of course i want to play 5-man party, but I **** got close friends who play Doto. Yet.

Sadly there is no way to recalibrate or I'd be there. The best way, is to wait until you have maybe 400-600 games at least and THEN calibrate so you get a good starting MMR, unlike me who can't be bothered grinding out of the 2k bracket.

But we all have to eventually, so just play unranked until you KNOW you are pretty good, and then grind ranked. Sometimes teams will lose you the game, sometimes you end up winning.

how to get out of trench by Smuggler

the story so far:

one day a wild Ranked mode appeared in smuggles favourite game of DOTO.

"Hmmmm whats this? seems i play ten games and i get rated hmmmm i wonder if im any good... " he thought to himself.

at this stage old smuggely here had only 300 games under his belt and still had trouble with the basic last hit/deny (i wasnt that bad but i only averaged 5 ls in a min).

"whelp ive got all day might as well smash out these ten games"

at this stage smuggles smashed out ten games in a row and his hard work was rewarded with a 1.6 k mmr....

"WOW 1.6k mmr i hope thats good"

it wasnt.

he then stopped playing ranked.

for a long time.

until he hit maybe 1000 games in total.

then he went back to ranked one night after 2-3 beers ....

he pub stomped faces...

until he got to the 2k bracket then he pub stomped some more... untill he got to 2.5k where he found that these guys were ok ...ish.

he then proceeded to not pub stomp any more. but he was still winning just not every game ...

so he thought i shall leave this realm and come back when i am better and this is where our story brings us...

TL;DR : get better get coached play heaps then go back. and faces shall be wrecked!

So play for 2 months unranked, and get back to ranked. Proceed to rekt face.

Still doesnt solve teammate problems

Well, if you're trying to increase solo mmr there is nothing you can do about teammates. Just hope for the best and if they're a bunch of idiots who don't co-operate, then that's that. You can however start group ranked and this will solve teammate problems. (or most of them)

you asked about solo ranked but if you need people to play with then go to the mathchmaking forum side of dotafire :)

or if ur talking about the idiots who play ap ranked then ....dont play ap ranked

go cap mode ranked and pick cap yes your forcing picks on people but at least you have some control over the game.
