Its a pretty cool idea, and would **** up heroes like tidehunter massively.
I think Pugna would be more afraid, Netherward could easily backfire on him, since Blink + Mana Void burns 50% of his Mana before Damage from Mana Void is calculated...that's gonna hurt! 8{3
i think this would destroy heroes such as Bristleback, Skywrath Mage and other spammers.
maybe you could make it 20% at max level with a stun involved or something.
like Nyx Assassin, but with unlimited proc instances and minimal damage.

If I would add damage to the spell it would be to strong. This is not Nether War. I think that 25% on max level is fine. Let's say someone like Skywrath Mage uses both Arcane Bolt and Concussive Shot, 50% of Skywarth Mage mana will leak away. And if he casts all 4 spells on Anti-Mage, 100% of it's mana will leak away. I updated the post, which spells trigger Spell Shield.

Seems very strong - you can't go for a set figure because it will completely destroy strength heroes + early game (imagine Tiny using Toss?), and the %s are too high really, it would annihilate some heroes who are already weak vs AM (e.g. pretty much all Int supports). I think you'd need to make it single, targeted abilities only, and limit it to one effect per hero per duration as Timmy suggested.
Maybe 5/8/12/16% could work, and either reduce the passive magic resist, or make the whole thing active only (AM has to actually shield himself at vital moments).
I know AM's win % has dropped recently, but I think that's as much to do with other heroes becoming more available, and more early game strats instead of people just letting him BF/afk farm. I don't think this alone would be a deathball counter. AM is still very good at what he does...why buff him?
I'd be happy enough with just giving him more starting strength or something...?
Anti-Mage is just fine as he is, to be honest. However, if you're concerned that he's not as incredibly over-powered against spell-casters as you'd like him to be, you COULD make the activatable component of his Spell Shield act like a Linken's Sphere or Pipe of Insight. Alternatively, to more properly balance it, make it create an aura that causes mana drain equal to a percentage of the original spell's cost. Thus, it isn't ridiculously or ******edly over-powered against heroes like Bristleback. For example, an immediate mana break equal to 25%/50%/75%/100% of the spell's original cost either in an area around Magina or specifically against spells that target/include Magina as a target.
Personally, though, I think he's fairly balanced as it is. Haven't had many problems winning with him lately, at least.

I want the spell to stay as it is. I will nerf the MR (well the MR is the same) I see everyone wants the MR down even on PlayDota. But I'm not touching the active site. Some say that the spell is to strong. Something like Pugna's Nether Ward is far more dangerous rather than this suggestion. It deals DMG, stops mana regen and drains mana, not only that it's in a 1000 AoE.
