Yeah, I feel you bro. I like how the Chinese scene is right now, with most major teams having a good shot at every tournament. But this looks inevitable now. I only hope they don't pull all the best players into the same team and deprive the rest the talent. I'm expecting a few disbands as well, particularly LGD :*( (dd should be retiring as he is in risk of becoming deaf and Xiao8's exit is looking more and more likely)
Screw business! It just got personal

It's hard to hog all the good players because there's so much of them.

I do NOT want LGD to disband - that would be awful.

Well, on the bright side, we get to see some new teams emerge.

Must-Invite Teams

West: Alliance, Na'vi, Liquid, Fnatic, Speed, +1 Russian
East: LGD.cn, iG, Tongfu, DK, Titan, +1 SEA

The Russian and SEA teams are pretty much guaranteed, because that's where the heavy Dota 2 market is, even if they suck and lose all the TI games. The Russian team will either be Rox.xis or VP, while the SEA team will be one of the big names: Mineski/Orange/Mith.trust/MUFC.

That brings the total to 12 already.
+3 Wild Cards = 15.

Room for one more team, which in my opinion will either be the upcoming new Dream Team in China or EG, simply because TI has always had more than one US representative.

Notable Exclusions: VG and Sigma.int and one Korean Team.

To be honest VG and Sigma.int deserve a place over the Russian and SEA teams, but sadly there are already way too many Chinese/European teams. As for a Korean invite, it seemed for a while that FXO or Startale were going to get an invite simply for the purpose of promoting Korean Dota, but sadly as both have disbanded this seems increasingly unlikely. While I have no doubt VG and Sigma.int will make it through the qualifiers, the remaining wild card can be anyone's, and I sincerely hope we get some Korean representation at TI4.

EDIT: If EG does get the last invite, then Chuan's Dream Team will almost certainly get the wild card slot and round up all 16 teams. If it's Chuan's Dream Team that gets invited, then the Wild Card is really a Wild Card. Strong contenders for me are: Rattlesnake/RisingStars if they're still around, HGT/TF3, Mineski/MUFC/Orange/Mith.Trust, and Mouz/EG/VP/Rox.xis.

Based on their performances so far, I would put VG over TongFu and Sigma over Liquid.

You can't not invite Liquid though. You do have a point about inviting VG over Tongfu, especially since Tongfu is about to lose players. But then again VG couldn't even beat Fnatic-2+Jimmy ThrowDemonNeedtogotoKoreatowinthings Ho.

Yeah, liquid requires an invite. I just wish they would play more, they're kind of doing a bit badly since they lost ze mustache.

VG will prob get back to their dominating selves.

I'd really like to see EG actually get their act together and do some work.

If the meta stays the same, Luna or Alchemist. They'll be between the top five on par with Weaver, Gyrocopter and Lifestealer anyway, unless they release something else before.
