Does anyone know for certain how the automated drafting process works in all random mode? Does the system try and balance the team by selecting like 1 carry, 1 mid, an initiator, support, etc... Or is it entirely random in that you could wind up with 5 carries or 5 supports? Does anyone know for sure?

Entirely random, yup.

Sometimes I think it tries to create new meta strategies, Skeleton King + Spirit Breaker lane is pretty boss.

And you're pretty certain about that? I don't think I've ever seen anything published by Valve, so I was just wanting clarification.

Yes, AR mode completely randoms heroes, there's no role-drafting involved as far as I know.

Ya, I played an all random match last night where the other team ended up with Lycanthrope, Sven, Ursa, Enchantress (aka Bambi), and Anti-Mage.

It was awful... =(

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's completely random. I've been on the receiving end of some awful games because of it. 5 carries happens to me more often than I'd like lol.
