Today I played my first game against a genuine pro player. And not just any pro but one of the reigning International champions iG.YFF of invictus gaming. And even more surprising I WON!!!111
Now I should say I don't think winning had very much to do with me playing well. But more to do with the rest of his team having a bad game and a couple of people on my team having a good game. Especially Clockwerk and Silencer. I've just watched the replay back and looked him up on dotabuff and I'm pretty certain it is actually him. You can see his last hitting is just so much better than anyone else's (especially mine) and a few pro moves thrown in there as well. Like after over extending in our base he makes a dash for our fountain in order to deny me the kill, I was pretty impressed by that. (even if it didn't work)
I played Doom and had a horrible early game, massive nooby mistake in not even bothering to get boots until 20 minutes in. Kyfoid will have a fit if he sees that. But after jungling for a while I had a fairly good mid-late game again largely down to the other players on my team. In defense of how badly I played I should say I have less than 10 games with Doom and usually play a support role. SO don't judge me too harshly.
I've not made this thread in order to boast at all. I just thought others may be interested in this very unusual occurrence. And to highlight the fact that if I'm in the same game as a pro then matchmaking is definitely broken!
anyway here is the match ID if you want to watch the Pro versus the scrub
Sorry to burst your bubble but thats not YYF. Take a look at the players dotabuff. 47.55% winrate, plays with no other famous players/pubstars, and his teams lists. The TMM rating is below 3000.Plus his KDA isnt good. Look at his names used as well.
it says he's used that alias 801 times and the dude I played earlier has 632 wins which would be about 71.23% win rate. (without getting my calculator out :p). Plus they have the same avatar and everything!
edit: you must be right as Dota buff has updated and that match shows up on mine but not on his. So I've posted a match of me playing like a punk for nothing. boy do I feel stupid
p.s. can you change the title of the thread to "Today I didn't play a pro" :)

Sometimes I wonder why some people bother pretending to be some pro player.
Last month, I played with some guy who claimed to be Na'Vi Dendi. He fed quite badly (for a pro player) and after the match, I checked his DotA Buff and found out he was a phony with 40% plus win rate.
