Mid Omni?

Any semi-decent Omni will crush Kunkka in lane.

Yea, the other way to run Omni mid is with Greaves and Agh's and stuff... but that's no fun, right?

It could work with something like a single core or something like that. But you'd be countered by diffusal.

Also, omni destroys tiny mid.

Repel really makes Kunkka cry.

By the way, am I the only one who's wondering why that skill hasn't been nerfed yet? I mean sure, 12 second BKB on a 14 second cooldown is already pretty insane, but why the 50 mana cost on max level? That skill is so underpriced in mana it's not even funny. Rage is 50% more expensive and it's only half the duration.

Because Rage isn't broken by diffusal, doesn't have an awkward cast point and doesn't rely on teamplay on top of giving +80 attack speed. Though yeah, Omni's whole skillset is pretty ********.

Omni's winrate is so inflated now, he has almost a 5 lead on Necrophos, the guy right below him.

This hero probably needs a nerf for pub reasons, like Spirit Breaker got a time back. The whole reason we can run mid Omni is because of how powerful this hero is in pubs.

And really, I don't like having to run Lich, Leshrac, Oracle, or Enigma each time I see this guy.

Even Rage is purposely low mana cost because it's on a STR carry with a lousy mana pool, completely unlike Omni who always rushes arcanes. And why does Arcane Curse cost 135 mana for some low-ish nonscaling damage and a lousy slow? I'm really confused by the mana costs on some abilities tbh.

50 mana is one of the lowest costs for all the support abilities in the game. And it just so happens it's on probably the most gamebreaking one... especially when you keep spamming it on cooldown for 2 minutes during a push on the OSFrog core of the moment.

Except that you can run techies or arc warden, magnus or AA, core SD or aghs centaur.

They work pretty well against him

Arc Warden : what are you talking about? The purge from Spark Wraith? AFAIK the skill is completely blocked by spell immunity.

Techies : Repel demolishes that hero so hard it's not even funny. Repel your carry during a push and have him walk up and hit the tower. The only thing Techies does is defend towers. With repel, he can't even do that anymore.
Actually Omni is IMO the best support counter to Techies. He doesn't directly counter him the way Abaddon does, but he completely removes all his game impact, which is actually way better.

Magnus : It's kind of like Enigma, he doesn't care about Repel, but there's still Guardian Angel. An Omni with blink or aghs can completely counter-initiate your ulti with his own, so it kind of goes both ways here.

Ancient Apparition : for what, stopping the heal from Purification? Like this changes anything.

Shadow Demon : it's one of the select few that are really good against him. However for some reason nobody ever plays that hero except me :)

Centaur Warrunner : sure he can use his ulti to get his team away from Guardian Angel, but that's just trading your ult for his, and it's pretty imperfectly at that, since if it's your base getting pushed you still lose rax. You can't always disengage for free.

It's because people think he's a ****ty hero, despite him being the best lategame support in the entire game. Seriously, he scales like a monster to the point of soloing some carries. BKB-piercing kiting, 50% damage amp, two monstrous illusions, a 1000 damage nuke? Sign me up.
