I think you are doing something horribly wrong or just pick him into a lot of counters. You seriously can't fight Necro III 20 mins in under Medallion debuff, especially when they crit, it's just ridiculous, lmao.

And how is he nerfed in 6.86, all of his changes are straight buffs, except for the fact wolves don't crit when his ulti is down.

You might want to post some replays here and on the mentoring section as you might do mistakes only others can spot.

The map might seem bad for Lycan but he can still work out, you just have to get used to the map.
Oh and you might want to open a new thread for "Is Lycan still viable in this patch" and maybe "how to build Lycan in 6.86?". Dotafire members usually tend to discuss a lot therefore you should be able to get good informations doing just that.

Have you ever thaught about a reserve hero? A hero that you play if someone else got lycan?

I think a good hero that is good this patch and has a similar playstyle is Ember Spirit. Just like Lycan he can splitpush if you get boots of travel. But ember's his lategame teamfight is superior to that from Lycan. Ember is just an example but I think if you learn him and play him as a splitpush that that can work fine.

Btw Lycan still has a 50.64% (22/12/15) winrate so he is probably still fine.

It's actually really funny how Lycan's winrate is 57 and 58% at <1k mmr and >5k mmr.

I'm going to take a break from ranked matchmaking all pick. It's a cancerous gamemode, with the same instant picks and angry players. I only need 438 more MMR to get my 4k rating. It's so close but so far away at the same time. When I feel like playing ranked again, I'll bring some replays to this thread.

I got my solo rating to 4k after being so close for a long time. Thanks to those who were helpful in this thread.

^this. Even though lycan has his ult, I always feel like he gets kited alot, not to mention that lycan in kinda soft.
