So this cluster**** of a match happened today and looking back on it, I see it was a lost cause before the 1st runes even spawned. Due to the simple fact of our safe lane being composed of an anti mage and a Medusa and the enemy offlane had Bloodseeker and Wraith King. Two hard carries, in one lane, and only one way things could turn out.
BS managed some amount of kills in the early game that would equate about a kill per minute, oh yeah and the Slark and Shadow Shaman kept getting blown up by the kekkies. (Don't let the am's numbers fool you, bout half of those kills came from my ulti cutting the enemy's health in half).
But back into the original topic, why is it that folks pick carries when there's already a carry picked? I'm not that good and I'm still able to piece together that support + carry= won lane (usually). Is not common sense to know that 1) there's a limited amount of farm to go around and 2) There won't BE a late game if our team doesn't have an early game.
As you probably tell, I was not a happy camper.
But what gives with these multi-carry lineups? Are people stuck in 6.83? Am I still in the tier where people don't understand the concept of team composition? Is it like this in every skill tier?

So you think you ult then you get all the kills because reason? Fact is SF ult rarely ever kills people, it just brings them low enough to get bursted by razes(or similar bursting abilities) or a mobile clean up. AM just did his job.
About the issue at hand: It happens at 2k- level. That's just how it is. People are arrogant and think they can play core better than anyone else.
This kind of stuff gets rare at 3k+ level, because people are not as ******ed. Still happens tho.
eh it happens... i was coaching yesterday and the game was about 15 seconds into pick phase and our team had Drow, QoP, Medusa and i think a magnus. i told my student to pick tusk support. he went like 6-0-3 in the first 15 mins and controlled the game, kept up vision and helped out medusa and QoP. how? cause im ***in amazing lel No its because he focused on his own gameplay and didnt worry about others. he did what he needed to do and let the others deal with themselves. won the game and ended on a score of 13-5-19.
like for example silver edge? yasha? just looking at that lineup i would have gone mek euls bkb butterfly/skadi. did you stack? did you rotate? did you avoid/dodge? Tp scroll? were you efficient ?
now im not saying that your team mates werent 3 seeds short of a rye roll or just plain bad. but i didnt raise my gameplay till i focused on me before others.
A sidenote: At press time, I was still upset about what transpired in the match and some of things stated may not make sense because of that. However, I have since settled down, due to stepping away from the computer and doing something else.
People at 2K and below pick tons of carries because they don't trust their teammates to carry them. The thing is, actually, in some way they're right...of course these scrub teammates who build stupid items aren't going to carry them. It's just that, picking another carry in that case isn't the answer. Instead they should be picking scaling supports or snowballing junglers/offlaners. When you already have carries, you should play a space creator not another space taker.
While the "picking 5 carries" thing completely stops once you reach mid-high 2K...the "playing support is for losers" actually gets WORSE the higher you rise in MMR.
You can see it easily by watching streams : in the 5K+ bracket, people are so arrogant that the highest MMR in your team thinks he deserves to be playing carry or mid, not only that, but expect that their lower rated teammates should be wiping their sweet behind all game long while constantly blaming them for their own feed and incompetence.
@Smuggels : Silver Edge disables Bloodseeker's passive and is the only way to actually kill him without him running away at 1000 MS. Or at least force his BKB for nothing which is almost as good. It's actually a really good item here, and the best way to itemize SF against BS.
