I've read the comments, but everyone is forgetting BS before he's rework. He was top pick/ban in both pubs and in competitive. He had free Rapier, can spot you around the map under 50% HP, can heal himself passively with Bloodbath, and dealt damage upon casting rupture and also applied a mini stun. Sure he's picked, but he's not the BS that he used to be. So there's no reason for people to complain.

What? I never saw old Bloodseeker get picked frequently, despite how stupid Bloodrage used to be. And to check that I wasn't just being blind; He was picked up 72 times in the entirety of pro DOTA before 6.82 (The patch of his rework) assuming I've not done DatDOTA wrong, he's been picked more in this patch than at any point in his history.
So evidently one of us is badly wrong there. And I'm pretty sure it's not me.
Nothing about that on the wiki...patch version or it never happened.
I saw that too. But I know it used to apply mini stun on cast. I remember. It was the only, well, somewhat disable he had. It got removed. I used to play him a lot I know.

It was around the time when Slark was top tier and he needed a counter and everybody started to pick him. I was watching pro plays and Slark used to build, tranquil because of BS he couldn't regen and pick up SB. But it was pointless.

So I'm guessing what 6.81 from my recollection? The period of time before TI4 where people thought it was going to be a good patch? Since that patch had the majority of his pre 6.82 picks.
I wouldn't exactly call that version of BS better than the current one. More *********y perhaps because he had the old version of Blood-Rage which got buffed to the point of being un-despellable by anything, but he wasn't as viable.
EDIT; He wasn't a top tier pick by any means. If he was as good as you are implying, he would've been run more, not just as a counter to Slark.
And he got a remake because he was really underwhelming. The same reason Riki got a rework; an attempt to make the hero viable.
Either you have a bad memory or you are talking BS (********)
He was never popular and never had a stun. Period.
I'm not talking ********. If he wasn't popular, then why did he get a remake? I can't check older versions on Dota 2, and WCIII is gone because I formatted my computer a few months ago.
Edit: My mistake. Forget about the mini stun. The only thing this spell does is placing Rupture buff on the target and dealing damage.

Deals a mighty blow to the enemy causing any movement to result in bleeding and loss of life.
Cast range: 1000
Initial damage: 100/200/300
Moved distance as damage: 20%/40%/60%
Duration: 7/10/13
Manacost: 200/250/300
Cooldown: 120
Notes: Damages the unit based on how far it moved. If it stands still, no damage is afflicted beside the initial damage. Damage type is hp removal.
He got a remake because the design was stupid and he wasnt picked.
Talk all you want but apart from malasyia, current fnatic during 1 tournament no team picked it a lot. He wasnt popular.
