It would be interesting to see a new Item that gives a Root though.

Well you've got a problem here:

Make it cost around 3k, and atos is trash.
Make it cost around 5k, sheep is better.

I don't think you could make a new root item without making it or atos trash. 4k gold? I think 1k isn't an acceptable price gap. Now that I think of it, Solar Crest is better than Desolator... In some, but a lot of cases.

@Alenari
I think im one of the guys that disagree :p

A root wont sound so bad now acrually. Maybe a nerf to the ridiculous cast range. I think at the time I was thinking it would make Mystic Flare 100% reliable, but now I remember Eul's Scepter of Divinity and Lina. Yes, a root disables blinking and interrupt chanelling. Maybe after some balancing a root could legit.

Late credits to Janitsu for the sig

The solution is simple, make Atos Slow removable by Strong Dispel only, i.e. Guardian Greaves, Aphotic Shield, Borrowed Time, Call to Arms.

A 2-3k Root Item would be an acceptable but cheaper alternative for Supports to Pick up, leaving Atos a better option against opponents that can easily remove Root, e.g. Slark, Juggernaut, etc.

The problem if you make it a root is that you get to the Eul's Scepter of Divinity syndrome of "setup skills are just way too good".

Have Skywrath Mage land perfect Mystic Flares? Have Mirana land perfect arrows? Have Shadow Fiend land perfect requiems? It's Euls abuse all over again.

Point of the item IMO should really be to disable momevent in order to chase...not to set up other skills.

@Sanvitch : I'm thinking about what you said don't worry :)

Here's my 2 cents. I love our game of dotka. I always will. and I love the high mobility aspect of it. It love how there are slow paced parts where your just farming, or planning a gank, but then I also love the opposite: the feeling you get when you euls a Magnus before his rp can get off, or when you dodge a stun using Sleight of Fist. I think it makes the game a beautiful contrast. I also don't think blink is overpowered. Sure, you can use it to escape, but only if you can get out beforehand, or if you can do the whole euls->blink escape thing. But as a whole. It's pretty balanced. 12 seconds of cool Down? In dota, that's generally enough time to catch up to someone and kill them.

Actually on topic: I think RoA could use a buff, but the only one I think it could use is a "it now goes through magic immunity" buff.
when a thing is done, it's done. Don't look back.

Well, do remember that there's this ability in the game called Ensnare the pierces Spell Immunity...

Rod of Zetos:

Prevents the use of any mobility spells or items.

(does not slow)

New items:
The dust of the Invisible wall.

Disables any mobility ability/item owned by affected enemy hero within the area. Affected hero can still be assisted by force staff by their ally who is not affected by the dust.

AoE : 900
Duration : 3
Number of stack per purchase : 2
Maximum stack in shop : 5 (starts with 1)
Stack cooldown in inventory : 60
Stack cooldown in shop : 5 min
Price : 250

Considering the slot problem may faced by most supports, this dust can be stacked with dust of appearance like wards but it's hard to tell if it's necessary without actual test. Can be dispelled and will not disables boots, only affects blink, push/pull, teleporting (tp is excluded), jumping and any ability/item that is considered as mobility ability/item.

Redesign these items:
Rod and orchid now can only be dispelled by hard dispel, they now pierce spell immunity, but with reduced duration of 2 seconds for both. Both item deal initial 10 magical damage and they don't pierce spell immunity.

Roots don't stop you from moving completely, i.e. Timberchain, Force Staff, etc. and they're removed by Dispels and becoming Magic Immune.

Yeah I know, but it still comes down to turning Atos into a setup item. Since Atos gives far better stats than Euls, since it not only gives mana but tons of HP as well, every hero who needs a setup will buy the item.

Like, there's a reason why there's no item that "freezes" heroes in place in dota, because otherwise skillshots are not skillshots anymore.

Last night I had a game that showed the usefulness of Atos as a Linkin's popper, since the enemy team's most dangerous hero was Weaver, when I finally picked it up, Weaver died a lot more easily than he did before, and it secured the last kill on him during the final push. So yeah, Atos is useful against Linkins carriers.

Rod of OP:
Apply Mute and Break to target forever. Also deal 9001 dmg on use.
