Magnificent Magnoceros Magnus

Juiced

Intro

DISCLAIMER: This is not a super dense and serious guide, it covers most of what you need to know in a funny/goofy mood. Sorry if you came for a hardcore 20 page mag guide!
So I wrote this other guide depicting a combo of Io and Slardar most of you who have seen that guide are gonna be like "Donutz your other guide sucked, why make another one"? Well hypothetical hater, I believe in hardwork, effort, craftsmanship, and ya I was just bored and have been playing this hero sooo...

Anyway let's get going

Magnus is a pretty high skill cap hero that is good in almost every game. One problem with this hero is that a bad play or misclick can ruin your combo and your team's fight. But, when you land that perfect Reverse Polarity Skewer combo, nothing feels better. To get you pumped up for your exploration and success in playing Magnus here's a picture. (Thanks PFlax)

Pros

Extremely versatile, Very good during all stages of the game, Does not need very much farm, Good at harassing in lane, High 1v1 kill potential, Extremely good ganker, Fun to play, High skill cap (Also a con)

Cons

High skill cap, Mana dependent, Weak in early game mid, Very important skills and easily flamed for missing them, looks like he has a forehead *****,

  • The cleave damages a circular area in front of the buffed unit.
  • As with all cleave, Empower stacks with Battle Fury icon.png Battle Fury and the cleave abilities of other heroes.
  • Does not cleave upon attacking wards, buildings or allied units. Wards and buildings are unaffected by cleave.
  • Ranged units cannot cleave and therefore only get the damage from this buff.
  • Despite the visual effect, cleave damage is applied instantly in the whole area.

Items

Early Aggression Build

So, I am feeling like this item build is pretty straight-forward. For the early aggression build you want to get a quick Blink Dagger to become a big factor during the first teamfights. Before you have your Blink Dagger, you should be going for kills as soon as possible. If you see a hero you could potentially kill by using Reverse Polarity then go for it. A lot of people like to save RP for teamfights, but until you have your blink dagger you will not be able to position yourself for a good RP. Once you get your Blink Dagger up, you are basically just building mobility items. Pick up Force Staff and Eul's Scepter of Divinity or Drum of Endurance depending on the game. After that you are going to want to get a Shiva's Guard, usually Shiva's is the best item to go for, but some games you may want an Assault Cuirass instead. After that get Refresher Orb and you are good to go. If you are wondering why you wouldn't just rush Refresher Orb instead of getting a euls and shivas, it is because your mana pool will be to small to use your Refresher effectively. Btw, I know you guys wanted another meme so here you go.

Carry Build

So, for this build you want to get a bottle to supplement for the Arcane Boots you will not be getting. Instead, you will get Power Treads for the extra attack speed and health. After that, sit in lane and farm up your Blink Dagger. Once you have Blink Dagger you can go for some kills instead of last hitting (I'll talk about this more later). Get Mask of Madness for the Attack Speed and Movement Speed. Farm a Battle Fury and a Crystalys and you are good to go. Eventually, build a Daedalus and then tank up with a Heart of Tarrasque. After that, you can go for another Battle Fury, or an Assault Cuirass. Get Boots of Travel when needed.

Friends and Foes

Friends

, , , , Outworld Devourer, , and anyone else with AoE damage.

I don't think I really need to break these down for you guys. Basically you Reverse Polarity and they use their high damage ultimate. Dark Seer is extremely good with Magnus because he can Vacuum all the enemies for a perfect Reverse Polarity.

Foes and Hoes

, , , , , and any other Radiance carriers.

- This son of a ***** will make you wanna punch your monitor. A little Naga illusion waddles up to you as you are blinking and using Reverse Polarity and you look like a complete dumbass.

- If you are playing in anywhere above 3k mmr, expect to be silenced when you blink in too Reverse Polarity if the Silencer has any reaction time.

- Can not use blink while poisoned aghhhhh.

- Cogs **** up everything, your blink, skewer, rp, your day. And then, after he does all this ****, he says some ******** like "I'm a can of whoop ***" well whopdee doo, 1v1 me bro.

Obviously radiance pisses me off, but when you RP one of the illusion ********ters and then the Naga write "LOL" - Juiced has abandoned. Same with Phantom Lancer.

Summary

Magnus is a fun yet tough hero to play that is a high risk high reward hero. I know this guide does not give you everything you need to know, but hopefully it made you laugh. If this wasn't what you were looking for then check out this Guide It covers a lot more topics and is nice and dense for you dota nerds. Anyways, just practice the hero, learn the mechanics, and have fun. Thanks for reading, if you liked it than give me a like. Thanks
