What happened with the Octarine Core Terrorblade ?

If the game gets late enough then sure. However make sure you have core farming items first. This is a 6k gold item that doesn't give a big increase to farm speed nor enough health to out fight everyone. Once you have your big core items like BoTs, Manta, and Skadi then it's an option. Still many times it might be preferred to get more stats for fighting. More regular Terrorblade players help me out on this.

First of all, does anyone know if the pros have been experimenting new builds with Terrorblade? Because I'm pretty positive that Octarine Core is the item on him. I feel like Naga has got the most attention with the item's synergy with her skillset, but TB's abilities also benefit greatly of the item. Reduced cd on both Metamorphosis and Conjure Image sound stupidly good. With the item you would have nearly 50% uptime on meta at max level AND three Conjure Images at time for 8 seconds. Not only this but the item also gives a ton of hp, which obviously is great on the hero. Theoretically in the lategame you would also be able to have the Reflection up on the enemy carry almost permanently spell vamping for 25% of the enemy carry's rightclick damage. 30 sec cooldown on Sunder on the other hand means that you could use it twice in a fight.

Of course this doesn't solve Terrorblade's problems as he is still extremely squishy and stuff. He also kind of suffers from the same problem as old PL did: why to pick TB as you can pick Lycan who is stronger at running down towers with his team with a zoo strat, or Naga Siren who is better at ratting by effectively choking out the whole enemy team by limiting their map control to the minimum. Terrorblade would probably be at his strongest at pushing one lane really hard. Thus the nerf to the damage illusions deal to towers hurt him the most. Naga doesn't really care because she's more about risk free creep skipping and lane pressuring anyways.

It's a good 6-slot item. It's just a terrible second item.

Manta+Skaydee on every hero (even Lone Druid if you look at Terablade's guides) so get that on TB before you get anything else :)

The point is not to split push, the point is to increase your DPS by making more illusions (1/0.75=33% more illusion DPS, comparable to a Daedalus in some way) while also getting more precious HP. Oh and to decrease Metamorphosis cd to fight more.

But then if you ask me I'll be trying to convince you that the optimal build on TB is a manta and 4 skadis (or a manta, 3 skadis and a nectarine)...skaydee doto best doto look at me I'm the new kyfoid.
