SILENCER

SO I decided to deepen my skill on Silencer
any useful tips?
And I still can't decide when to play him as support or carry..

as a support, Silencer is too greedy. the only skill that allows him to fight without any farm is his ulti. That being said, it is possible to play him as a number 4 greedy support, if your team understands the term and doesn't throw you together with the position 5 "no farm" supports like Dazzle or Winter Wyvern.

Support Silencer is something you pick to counter heavy teamfight lineups. If you see a lineup with mass wombo combo AOE stuff, e.g heroes like Earthshaker, Invoker, Dark Seer, Warlock, Omniknight...you get the idea. You play support Silencer and try to farm a Refresher Orb ASAP. This way the enemy team has to always teamfight you into double Global Silence, and essentially they get screwed up. It's very situational however because Silencer's ulti is literally useless against some heroes, and support Silencer is nothing but a walking (double) ulti, so it has to be gamebreaking otherwise you're useless. Silencer is a good support but he's a very situational pick, he needs the right game to be useful.

Carry Silencer is very different. Carry Silencer is a right-click hero that relies on snowballing with early kills, getting a lot of INT, and dealing high DPS with Glaives of Wisdom. Unlike support Silencer, carry Silencer is never a bad pick. In terms of items, focus purely on items that increase your right-click damage (INT items + Moon Shard), mobility items, and BKB. You still go refresher in most games but much later. Also, you need to snowball, if you just farm you essentially lose the game. He's a ganking carry and definitely not a hard carry.

Never build Aghanim's Scepter on Silencer, ever. It's one of the worst aghs in the game.

Silencer's current aghs is old SK tier.

Dps silencer benefits a lot from a rod of atos. I mean it's cheap, has an insane range and gives both HP and Int.

Midlane or safelane carry silencer is really strong and I did it to get some mmr before od became so overpowered. It is pretty easy max Glaives of Wisdom and Last Word take ultimate at level 9, 11 and 16. Also take stats before Arcane Curse.

Items are Power Treads, Shadow Blade, Rod of Atos, Scythe of Vyse, assault cuirras, moonshard, Black King Bar, Shiva's Guard. Sometimes you can also get Drum of Endurance, Blink Dagger/forcestaff instead of a Shadow Blade.

When you have you shadow blade you change from a decent hero to a real killing ganking rightclicking fight machine.

so I think Support Silencer is really situational.. I see.

Well what should we pick at level 1? Is is Glaives of Wisdom or Last Word ? I haven't got the real feel when picking first skill
