Hi! First post and have a couple of questions:

1. Is there a search for topics within this forum? I wanted to check if this has already been discussed, but I cannot find a search to use.

2. On point to my title - I've seen a lot of friends build a blink on LC (as well as in numerous early builds). I am a huge fan of blink on particular heroes, however, I have had a lot more success through early ganking with a force staff on LC, mainly due to the increased intelligence and that it also helps with jungling during the build of it.

Just was wondering if there are any particulars, besides further / precise initiations that she is almost 'required' to have a blink (to some people), instead of staff.

Thanks for your input!

I like your name.

1. No, there's no search function.

2. Blink Dagger is instant and also it's cheaper than Force Staff.

However, I have no idea why they pick it over Force Staff, maybe they like the long-range-instant-blink more.

Thanks :)

Ok, so it's not simply that I'm missing some general concept of the item, besides not being able to be stunned, further, etc. :P With being a jungler on LC, I think that the minor cost difference is made up by being able to spam Press the Attack a little more, for slightly quicker farm... but I may be wrong.

I dunno, it's probably just one of those "it works for me!" scenarios.

Thanks for your input, Hades4u!

It may make difference if you're for example against a Shadow Blade users, or any heroes with invisibility or blink. Blink Dagger is better, because you can instantly appear near your enemy and Duel him. You should, however, consider using Force Staff or even Shadow Blade if you're against Blink Dagger disablers, like Radiance.

It is, you can argue the case for Blink Dagger and Force Staff since they both work. You could even argue that a Shadow Blade works too. A lot of Blink Dagger vs Force Staff (vs Shadow Blade) comes down to personal preferance, since few Heroes make better/worse use of 1 in particular.

Shadow Blade is just bad option on every hero in dota, unless you don't plan to initiate with it, or you're playing low lvl pubs, then it's ok. Everything you need to counter this item and invis based heroes is 5 man doto and sentry ward before combat starts.

Other than the fact lothars provides some of the best early-mid dps boosts in dota, as well as a last ditch escape mechanism, or a tool to chase, if you can see the DK while he's invis, and you're running, he doesn't care, he's gonna catch you. I agree on the other points. On LC, blink is probably the best bet if you're jungling. I havent even tried it or force staff, her movement speed generally is enough. I've gotten drums quick on her, it's efficient, and helps get those early duels. Blink sounds rather good though, besides, you'll have it early enough to set up those duels, before anyone has a radiance
Step 1: Pick Bristleback
Step 2: type in all chat:"GL hf"
Step 3: solo offlane
Step 4: first blood triple kill solo vs trilane
Step 5: continue head butting keyboard
Step 6: don't care, Bristleback doesn't give a ****
Step 7: screenshot repeated: BB OP comments in all chat
Step 8: alternate games with Slark pick

Blink is by far the best item to get on LC because the travel distance is nearly double and the CD is 8 secs lesser.
